Perfect oasis

The location was perfect, and easy walk to the beach and 10 minutes to all the restaurants, we didn’t miss having a car. Dan was prompt at responding to all questions and the cottage was cute and comfortable for our family. I would stay there again!

Cute little beach cottage

My husband and I had a wonderful stay on Siesta Key. The location of the cottage was perfect. We rented a golf cart but we could easily have walked around.

Lovely convenient property

This pretty condo is well located between the beach and the village and has everything you would need. Owner was very responsive and made the check in/check out process easy. Kitchen has all the cooking supplies you could need just be aware need to purchase your own pantry staples. The locals are so friendly, and I recommend the sunset, bike ride, Eco kayaking, and the beef foil if you’re adventurous!

Family wedding

We stayed at siesta-zen property for a family wedding. The location was perfect. Walking distance to the town, restaurants, local market and the beach. We had plenty of space inside and the outside space was beautiful!! Very clean, everything you needed was supplied even a lovely bottle of wine!!!! We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay effortless.

Siesta trip

Location was great. Issues with cleanliness upon arrival and door not securing. Issues were resolved in a timely manner, however communication was lacking in professionalism and follow-up.

We don’t have enough great things to say about our stay here. We couldn’t have asked for more. The description was on point, and it’s not exaggerating when it said they thought of everything. Every detail was covered. The cottage was great and very very clean. The beach was a very short walk — less than a few blocks— away. We come to Siesta Key every year to visit family that live close by. We stayed almost a week on this trip. On our second day, we decided that we’d like to return to this spot. The property is fantastic. Bravo to the host!

Great Location

We loved our stay in Siesta Key! We could walk everywhere or take the frees shuttles. We walked to the beach every morning at 6am for sunrise, it was so worth it!! People were friendly everywhere. The house was comfortable, thought the mattresses weren't great and could be softer. There's not much room for luggage and we had large suitcases that made it difficult to find places to lay them out. The sofa sleeper was very comfortable. We enjoyed the home, the kitchen was cute and we did fix breakfast and lunch a few days. There's one bath but its roomy and very nice so it worked great with the 4 of us. Thank you for providing the beach towels and chairs! We had a great time!

We are always grateful when our VRBO meets our expectations and our recent stay with Gertrude Rentals fit this billing to the tee. As advertised our home was minutes from the beach and restaurants to where we never had to get in the car. Our home was more than spacious with all the amenities needed, not only for a good night sleep, but also to prepare meals and just relax in the home. Extremely clean and well organized. The puzzle left in drawer was a very nice touch. Once in our home we never had to communicate with the owner as everything was as described and worked perfect. We were very appreciative of the check-out procedure as it was made extremely easy. Thank you Gertrude rentals for being a big part of a wonderful vacation. Ray

Overall, this cottage is ideal! It is in the BEST location,making it convenient and easy to walk to the village or the beach. Everything is exceptionally clean and updated. However, there are a some things that need to be fixed. For instance, the back door in the bedroom does not lock properly. I noticed this was mentioned once before and the response back was that Siesta Key is an island free of crime and is very safe. That most certainly should not be the response, when someone is renting a place for vacation. Regardless of that, one should be able to lock the back door and comfortably sleep at night being reassured that the door is safely locked. The only way to know if it is locked, is to lock it from the outside with the code and walk around the cottage and reenter from the main door. This is a BIG issue and I am appalled that it was mentioned previously and not taken care of. As a side note, I live in an extremely safe area, yet there is still crime anywhere you go and everyone has the right to lock their doors.In addition, there is a really nice big window in the kitchen, which used to have a shade at one point because you can see the hardware is installed. When it is dark out, and the gate to the patio doesn't lock, it would be nice if a shade was installed to be able to pull down at night. The patio with all the palm trees is beautiful, but the door to the patio doesn't close properly and there should be a lock from the inside. In addition, the pavers leading to the gate, are not securely placed, making it very difficult to wheel in luggage. Not conducive for people with bad backs or anyone that is older and can't simply pick up their suitcase and carry it.The back bedroom needs another way to turn on the light and the fan. As is, if you are not tall, you need to climb onto the bench to turn on the light and fan. (not safe by any means) Also, there is no mirror in this bedroom either, which would make things more convenient when getting ready to go out, as the other bedroom has a mirror. Lastly, there is no light in the kitchen, and there was one cockroach spotted in the kitchen as well.

Siesta Zen at its finest

Our stay was absolutely spectacular. Gertrude Vacation Rentals went above and beyond with fantastic communication and made everything effortless. The unit itself was perfect with two bedrooms one bath big bright windows and a charming courtyard with grill and tea lights that made evenings unforgettable. The location could not be better just a five minute walk to the Gulf and only a few minutes to Siesta Village. Truly a spectacular property and highly recommend.
