Spectacular views

Spectacular views, stunning Villa, spacious grounds. Host very accommodating. We were a party of 10 adults who enjoyed having meals / BBQs all together celebrating a 60th birthday party.

Group of friends with young kids

It’s an amazing house, everything is very modern and clean. The outdoor space is big, the kitchen wel equipped. They also have EVERYTHING for kids available in the house, from cutlery, to potties, to small toys. There’s an astonishing view from the terrace, even though the drive to the nearest village or the beach is quite far, but it depends what you’re looking for. For us spending lots of time in the villa, by the pool, with the bbq was all we needed! Amazing place!

Beautiful vacation Villa

Here, the owners personally look after the facility and the visitors. The entire property + house was very well maintained and everything you could wish for was there. As the holiday home is very secluded, you can completely relax here and don't have to worry about the neighbours (if the evening should get longer). Our landlady was also available at all times for minor problems and gave us direct suggestions for solutions. Thank you for the pleasant stay. PS: As it is so remote and the road is very hilly, make sure you have a suitable car (e.g. SUV), but even our FIAT 500 made it :D.

An Unforgettable Villa Experience!

Our stay at this villa was an absolute delight. The property was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Despite being slightly farther from local amenities, the villa's serene privacy more than made up for it, offering a truly tranquil escape. We're already looking forward to our return visit!

Exceeded all expectations! Everything was perfect :)

We were a group of 11 friends spending 4 days for New Years Eve. The house is absolutely incredible with everything one might need. Super clean, beautiful and comfortable. The surroundings are amazing. The house is isolated so it's the perfect spot to enjoy the quietness of nature and also allowed us to enjoy NYE with some noise without worrying to disturb anyone. Totally recommend and look forward to returning soon. The Host Artemisa is very friendly and always available :) Thank you so much for such an amazing house!!!

Paradise

We had a super nice holiday in this refugio. Everything was as described in the ad and more. The house is spacious, cozy, very neat and decorated with love. The environment is very peaceful and breathtaking. We were able to make beautiful walks starting from the refugio. We were warmly welcomed by Artemisa who gave us good information about all the options in the area. We will definitely come back! Note: The planks around the pool would need to be replaced. Fantastic stay in peaceful location

We had a wonderful stay at O Refugio De Artemis which is finished to an extremely high standard and comes with everything that you would need for a great holiday. We were two families of five with children aged from 5 to 13 and spent the days visiting the sights of the Algarve and returning to the villa by late afternoon to spend time in the pool enjoying the view and surroundings. There are multiple sitting areas where you can always find either sun or shade depending on your preference. The inside of the villa is extremely well appointed with plenty of bathrooms and a superb living area which takes in the magnificent view of the lake. This was just what we needed after a hard summer of lockdown and thanks to Artemisa for making our stay so memorable and for your excellent communication.

Remote Living

The property is located remotely in a reservoir and has all the amenities needed. It’s about a 20 minutes drive to Silves. The streets to get to the area are somewhat narrow. If you like remote living this is a great place to be. It’s beautiful and clean. The only reason I am giving this a 3 star is because we had some issues with the property owner. She tries to run the property like a hotel room. When you book the property make sure you get access to all the bedrooms. I booked for 4 people expecting to use 4 out of the 5 bedrooms. She was trying to only allow us to use 2 out of the 4 bedrooms saying that each room is double occupancy and to use more rooms we would have to pay more. We ended up having to call VRBO to be able to get access to all the bedrooms. The house is a smart house with a lot of new technology. At check in we got a long tour throughout the house by the owner with explanation of every detail on how to use things. In my opinion that was a bit excessive. The house also has a sewage smell throughout.

Das Objekt ist zu 100 % wie in der Beschreibung. Es fehlt an nichts. Der Pool ist traumhaft schön, besonders verbunden mit dem Blick auf den See.Die Straßenverhältnisse sind etwas abenteuerlich, besonders die letzten 2 Kilometer, aber mit einem SUV und Automatik ist das nach kurzer Eingewöhnungszeit absolut kein Problem mehr.Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und würden jeder Zeit gerne wiederkommen.

Une villa idyllique

La Villa Silves Lake, est un véritable havre de paix et un joyau caché qui récompense amplement ceux qui empruntent le chemin un peu accidenté pour y accéder (10 minutes de la route principale et 20 minutes des commerces). Nichée au bord d'un lac serein et des champs de citronniers, cette villa offre une expérience authentique et paisible, loin de l'agitation. La villa de 5 chambres était très propre et possède tous les équipements pour se divertir (piscine, ping pong, billard, internet haut débit (meme si nous avons eu une coupure de 2 jours!). Artemis a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable, faisant en sorte que nous nous sentions comme chez nous dès notre arrivée. Elle a été non seulement une hôte attentive, mais aussi une excellente source de conseils pour découvrir les trésors cachés de la région.

Familieverblijf ter gelegenheid van 35 jarig het huwelijk

Heerlijke vakantie van alle gemakken voorzien voor alle leeftijden. Heel compleet huis. Ontzettend aardig en behulpzame eigenaren die al het mogelijke doen om je verblijf zo fijn mogelijk te maken. Zelfs op een zondag met hulp het hele huis schoon gemaakt halverwege de vakantie. Na o pmerking dat er een narelucht hing, meteen al het mogelijke gedaan om te verhelpen. Alles wat in de omschrijving stond klopte.

Idyllic setting

The setting is in a lemon tree valley overlooking a large reservoir. If your looking for a quiet peaceful stay with family or friends - the refugio will not disappoint. The house was large. comfortable and well appointed. The pool, large deck and fireplace made our stay memorable. It definitely met our expectations.

In 1 woord geweldig!

Wij hebben, met 6 volwassenen, echt een fantastische week gehad bij O Refugio de Artemis! De locatie is niet normaal zo mooi en het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien. Er is ook zoveel ruimte om het huis en bij het zwembad dat er altijd wel een plekje is om even rustig te gaan zitten. Ook de tafeltennistafel en poo tafel zijn veelvuldig gebruikt. We hebben elke avond de bbq aangestoken en heerlijk buiten overdekt gegeten. Wij komen zeker terug!

Tranquilidade e sossego

Estada de uma semana com a família (13 pax) em tranquilidade e sossego, mas como éramos muitos, divertimo-nos imenso. Vivenda excelente, muito bem equipada e confortável. O único aspeto negativo, efetivamente sao os acessos à vivenda. Estrada em terra com +/- 3 ou 4 km pelo meio dos montes (deste a EN 124) com algumas subidas íngremes. Se procura descansar uns dias, fugir do barulho e recarregar baterias, recomendo!

Idylle ganz für sich allein

Das Haus steht in einer ruhigen Lage, am Stausee, in der Nähe von Silves. Die Kommunikation mit Artemisa war unkompliziert, bei Anreise fühlten wir uns sofort willkommen, dank der herzlichen Begrüßung. Das Haus ist mit allem Erdenklichen ausgestattet, vor allem die Küche ließ keine Wünsche offen. Alle Zimmer waren sehr sauber und aufgeräumt. Klimaanlagen waren vorhanden, wir haben sie nicht genutzt, unsere Nächte waren angenehm kühl. In den Nächten muss man sich unbedingt die Zeit nehmen, um die Sterne zu beobachten. So dunkel ist es kaum noch irgendwo, um dies alles zu sehen. Insgesamt steht das Haus an einem Platz, wo man außer der Natur nicht mehr viel hört. Abschalten von der Zivilisation funktioniert sehr gut 😉 Das Haus ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Touren jeder Art, allerdings sollte der Mietwagen/das Auto mit 4x4 ausgestattet sein, das macht die letzten Kilometer vor dem Haus einfacher. Artemisa war als Gastgeberin sehr fürsorglich, hat uns jede Frage beantwortet und Tipps für gutes Öl etc. gegeben; frisches Obst und Gemüse gibt es gleich in Silves auf dem Markt am Vormittag. Wir denken gern an diese Zeit zurück und kommen vielleicht eines Tages wieder.

Wonderland

Van de info vooraf tot aan het lieve berichtje ´veilige terugreis´. Alles was perfect. We waanden ons als Alice in wonderland. De omgeving is als in een sprookje. Ideaal voor een totale reset. Het huis voorzien van alle comfort. De bedden slapen zalig. Het zelfreinigende infinity zwembad is groter dan op de foto's. De keuken is ruim en alles is. Tot slot wil ik zeker nog het de vriendelijkheid van de host benoemen. Alles wordt in het werk gesteld om de gasten een aangenaam verblijf te bieden.

Eine Perle in der Natur

Ehrlich gesagt, man weiß nicht wo man anfangen sollte. Der gesamte Aufenthalt von Anfang bis zum Ende, hat reibungslos funktioniert. Die Gastgeber Artemisa und Ihr Mann sind einfach nur lieb, Sonderwünsche wurden anstandslos umgesetzt. Die Finka selber ist einfach nur atemberaubend. Es ist wie beschrieben und wie auf den Bildern wieder zu erkennen. Wenn man dort ankommt, ist es dennoch um ein vielfaches schöner! Die Mischung aus Flora, Fauna, das Anwesen und dem netten Empfang, hinterlässt einen unvergesslichen Urlaub! Wir können dieses Haus nur wärmstens empfehlen. Keine übertriebene Beschreibung oder längst veraltete Fotos, es ist genau wie man es sich vorstellt. Die traumhafte Unterkunft liegt inmitten der abenteuerlichen Algarve, dennoch sind alle Ziele wie Supermärkte, Restaurants oder Freizeimöglichkeiten (Tips: Bulldog Buggies und Restaurant Rainha👍) problemlos mit einem Roller oder Auto zu erreichen. Zitronen- und Mandarinenbäume sowie der malerische See um das luxuriöse Anwesen unterstreichen das tägliche Wohlgefühl! Liebe Artemisa, wir möchten uns herzlichst bei Ihnen und bei Ihrer gesamten Crew, für die wunderschönen Tage und dem unvergesslichen Sternenhimmel bedanken. Das Haus ist ein Traum

Sowohl das Haus, wie die Lage sind sensationell. Es ist sauber, gemütlich, die Küche super ausgestattet . Der Pool auch wenn wir ihn nicht genutzt haben ( zu kalt) blitzeblank sauber. Die Matratzen sehr gut und der Schlaf somit auch. Es gibt eine Kissenbar, so ist auch da für jeden etwas dabei. Wir waren rundum glücklich. Nur die Messer waren etwas stumpf. Ein Messerschärfer wäre toll ( :
