“The Garden Room was everything you could want for a quiet weekend away. There was everything there you could possibly want, all needs were catered for . . . and more. The host was exceptional in all communications and everything in the property was explained thoroughly. The facilities were fantastic. We will definitely be returning! 10/10”

“Loved the cottage and the welcome was truly wonderful! We did have problems with Maisie as there is no safe place to let her out as the cottage opens onto the road, also all the area around Rutland water is dogs on leads only so sadly no proper exercise there. We did find a truly wonderful walk around Empingham along the river through plantations of newly planted trees and the most incredible display of wildflowers, excellent!”

No Spa and ignorant staff
"Arrived at 2 pm, front desk asked us to come back at 3, eventually checked-in at 3 ish, front desk informed that the Spa closes at 4:30. Rushed to the Spa straight after check-in, and the woman at Spa told us the Spa closes at 3:45 instead because they need time to "clean-up". So we ended up spending 15 mins at the Spa.. Went to the Spa next morning, only to find out the Spa was closed the whole day due to "maintenance"! Complained to the front desk when checked-out, and the lady said "well, it's not enjoyable when it's cloudy anyway". EXCUSE ME?! No compensation and nothing from the management to compensate for no Spa which is the obvious reason why people choose this place instead of a Holiday Inn... Not what a 4 star hotel service should be like! Will go to Rushton Hall Hotel next time..."
