We booked the Swan Inn for a night’s stay before boarding our cruise. The rooms were comfortable and nicely appointed. There was a pub nearby via taxi for dinner. We had some light snacks and beer in the bar before retiring for the night. We will certainly consider The Swan for our next stay in Southampton.

Charming and convenient Inn, and extension of the pub, with a wonderful and helpful staff. No food on the premises but delivery is available from several local restaurants. Worth a stay.

Hotel is very basic. Would not recommend it for anyone that is used to a comfortable hotel. Not even a hair dryer nor AC. Least good hotel I have ever rented on Booking! It has loud road noises, frequent trains, banging doors and quite warm in the room. I cannot fathom that anyone could give this place a higher rating than 6 or 7. On the positive side is there is electricity and soap in the bathroom and it is relatively clean. The lady that runs the place is quite pleasant.

Wonderful gem! We had a whirlwind stay for just 2 nights between docking at Southampton and leaving for Heathrow, but we crammed in a trip to Brighton to see family. The location of the inn was perfect: we could've gone into central Southampton easily enough, and having the train station a few minutes walk away was perfect for getting around. I only wish we'd had more energy and time to hang around the pub some more!

Swan Inn

Lovely little hotel in Woolston, Southampton just an 8 minute drive to Ocean dock for P&O. The room was spotless, the bed soft and comfortable and the check in couldn't have been simpler. Highly recommend this hotel for an overnight stay.

Check in was quick and easy, the only problem for me was hauling my bags up the outer staircase. The room was clean and reasonably spacious, the bed was very comfortable and the en suite shower room was also clean. Jacqui was very pleasant and helpful, and I would happily stay here again.
