“The White Star is a lovely place with nice seating inside and out and a good range of beers. The staff were lovely and helpful. Food was good. Our room was a bit on the small side but clean and very comfortable. This review would have been 5 stars BUT Oxford St is a popular spot with lots of bars and restaurants and unfortunately the bar just across the street (10 yards away) played very loud music outside until 1.30am and our room was on that side of the White Star. Rather spoilt our trip and……

“Room was basically clean bedding very fresh. Bathroom mouldy and missed soap deposits in bottom of shower. Shower rail broken and unable to take out of holder. Shower intermittently cold and scalding hot. Unable to shower properly and unable to shower the toddler after a hot and dusty day out. Parking so limited upon returning after our festival at 10.45 pm unable to park with a very tired toddler in tow. Tried to find a member of staff which took me a further 15 mins. On a positive note……

“Good: The decoration of the room is cozy and in good classic style There is a bar on the ground floor which is good Staff are nice and friendly Bad: Strong smell in the bathroom which is disgusting, we think that comes from the eroding wood The water boiler is not clean and there is even water remain inside Being asked for the room key after check out but believe their staff mixed things up (Wrong number tag on the key)”

“Helpful staff but booked an air con room. Air con wasn't working. We swopped rooms and a fan was provided but was really loud so could only use intermittently. Bad night's sleep.”
