1 King with private bath downstairs plus queen pull out sofa in living room.
1 King and 1 Queen bed upstairs with full bath.
Enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water!!!!

House is in a quiet neighborhood at the end of the dead end street with sand path leading to the Beach just 400 ft away. Area on beach with chaise loungers, chairs, beach umbrella and gas grill all provide. New construction completed in November of 2019. We also have another VRBO property id 1846490 Turtle Shell Cottage that was completed at the same time.
Free Kayak provided for use.
2 Bicycles provided for free.
4 seat golf cart provided for Free !!!!.
Additional 4 seat and 6 seat Golf Cart Available for rent!
House is fully furnished with all linens, bath and beach towels and cooking utensils.
Kayak and bicycles provided for free upon request.
Island is a primarily European based island. It has 6 restaurants, 4 Bars, 1 large very nice grocery store, 2 small grocery Stores, and 3 Liquor Stores.
Island is only 7 miles from closest Airport, North Eleuthera Airport or airport code is ELH. It is a 10 minute taxi ride followed by a 5 minute ferry ride over to to the island. Spanish Wells. Once you provide us with your flight information we will arrange your transportation from the airport to the island with local shuttle company. Cost is only $20/person for both water and land taxi. Once you arrive on island we will meet you and take you to the house and answer any questions you might have and get you all settled in.
In an attempt to make our property more affordable for smaller groups our pricing is based on 1-6 persons. Once correct amount is entered at booking correct price will be calculated. If changes are made to the number of guest home owner must be notified and applicable extra guest fee will have to be paid prior to arrival or access to the property will not be granted.

We so enjoyed our trip to Spanish Wells!The Gene Turtle Cottage was just the place to relax and enjoy the beach and sun !It was nice to have the golf cart that came with the cottage.Jody was a great host ! I wish we had more time to talk with him to learn more about the island ! We did two of his tours with Ivan and had a blast Ivan is a great Captain!!We will be back for sure !

Beautiful place but very poor hosting.From the time we landed on the island we were not made to feel welcome.Everything is extra…. No toilet paper, no soap, no shampoo, no drinkable water, no trash bags, etc. Bring everything because unless the previous guest left something behind you will have to go and purchase. Also they charge to pick you up and it is more then if you use another service.Although they charge a very hefty cleaning fee they expect you do most of the cleaning and make sure you are done and gone by 10am and they come and make sure you are gone.But the worst is there are cameras spying on you all over the property.

The house worked really well for our group. We were a group of 6; two parents with adult children and their friends. The proximity to the beach is awesome, and the beach itself is wonderful. We cooked most of our meals at home, and the house is stocked with most of what is needed to cook. Beds are comfortable. It was great to have two bedrooms with king beds! House was clean, and it was great to have the outdoor seating area and outdoor shower. We loved our trip!

Came here as a family. It was the perfect location, clean property, wonderful property managers. Close to the beach and access to chairs and shade on the beach. Close to grocery stores and delicious food. Highly recommend.

Jody and Tara are great hosts. This was our second time back and everything was great yet again! They are timely with responses and helpful. We would definitely recommend any of their rentals. We can’t wait to visit again!! :)

The house is newer and well maintained. It has everything you need but food to get you started. The Pinders are very helpful and accommodating. The location is perfect and is a short walk to a quiet beach. There is a floating dock in the water that is the perfect place for your beverages as you soak in the crystal clear water. We will be back.

Me and my family rented the Green turtle for a week in April. The house was beyond expectations and had plenty of room for the 7 of us. Was very surprised on how big the house was on the inside. It was very clean and modern. The property was well kept and just a short walk to the beach. The free golf cart was an added bonus and was brand new. Definitely will rent again and would recommend to anyone!

We had an amazing vacay!! The Green Turtle Beach House was beautiful, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Bonus: our own private beach access that included towels, chairs, shade, umbrellas, AND a kayak, a golf cart and bicycles!!! Wonderful and amazing!

The green turtle was fantastic! Its location is perfect and the island is just beautiful. We loved the outside shower and Jody and Tara were great to deal with, answering all my questions before we even arrived. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again. I hope we can make it back to Spanish Wells sooner than later!

This place was amazing. Let alone that it was on a gorgeous island with very friendly community, but it was a very short walk to the beach. We had an amazing week there. The hosts were very responsive and even checked in to make sure we were enjoying ourselves or needed anything. They provided multiple options for groceries, meals, places to visit, rentals, and such. We cannot express just how much we enjoyed our visit and how amazing everyone was.

We can’t say enough good things about the accommodations, location and the owners Jody and Tara. They go out of their way to welcome you and make you feel right at home. Their properties are beautifully decorated and kept in pristine condition. We love Spanish Wells and will return. Fantastic experience and would highly recommend this property or any that Jody and Tara own. Go to their paradise and enjoy!! Thanks for all you did this week and we hope to see you next year upon our return!

Jodie and Kara Pinder were excellent hosts! They both met us at the dock the day we arrived, showed us around town and then gave us a run down of the rental home we were staying. The house was just as it looked online, brand new and VERY clean!! The beach was just a short walk down a nice pathway and it was a beautiful secluded beach! The restaurants on the island were all really good. It was a really peaceful and relaxing time right before we got back to the US and COVID-19 took over:(!

We had the most wonderful time! Spanish Wells was more wonderful then what we had even read and heard about! What a sweet community of people. It was super relaxing and so much fun for my fam. We loved staying at the Green Turtle. It was super nice, very up to date, and had all things that we needed. The owners are wonderful people that went out of their way to make sure we had all we needed and were comfortable. They also offer excursions that I highly recommend (the highlight of our trip). This is not a island to come to if you want night life or shopping BUT if you’re looking for a safe, family oriented, relaxing vacation, it’s for you! We are so thankful for our time there!

What a great stay. They were great to communicate with prior to and during our trip. The house is awesome! Super clean, cold air, comfy beds and the location is awesome. The beach is a 1 Kim walk down a cute, private path and it’s gorgeous. We saw turtles, fish, urchins, a couple sharks and kayaked out to an amazing coral head with three huge lobster…a week to early for season:(. We had lots of space in the house for me and three teenagers. The only thing that would have made it perfect is some dish soap and trash bags…but we will stay here or any of Jody’s properties anytime, it was wonderful.

We are a family of four with 2 teenagers (13/16). We had an awesome time! The place looked newly built and had everything we could expect being away from home. It is situated only a few steps from the beach. We stayed 7 days and enjoyed every minute of it. Jodi is very easy to communicate with (he lives down the road). Follow his advice! Whether it is about what to do and where to go on the island (or in the Bahamas) or about the fact that you need a golf cart to move around the place, listen to him. He can also take you on a boat tour ... and it is worth every penny! Spanish Wells is a remote island. You'll get the opportunity to disconnect as long as your stay will last! We did! ...

This was our first trip as a family to the Bahamas and Spanish Wells. We LOVED it!! Jody and Tara are fanatical about making sure you have everything you need. Their home was immaculate. They go above and beyond any other place we've ever stayed. We had four teenagers with us and they can be "demanding" on Mom and Dad to say it nicely. The kids said it was the best vacation they've ever had. You're not "on the beach", but it doesn't matter. It's a short walk and something we did multiple times a day. I wouldn't pay extra to be on the beach here. They rented us golf carts. They were brand new. They arranged excursions, all of which were awesome. Some with Jody, some with his other captains/guides. High speed internet is something you wish you didn't need on vacation, but with teenagers you do. It worked perfectly. The design and layout of the house, along with how the kitchen is equipped is lacking nothing for a vacation rental. The location is quiet and only mins away from anything you might need. For the first time ever, the kids said "we should buy a house here!" Considering how much value you get from Jody and Tara's properties, I wouldn't even bother. We'll be back!

After communicating with the owners via email since December 2023 with first email saying we will be a family of 8-10 members, the owner accused me of being a liar, scam artist and falsifying information. I found his house that sleeps 8 and immediately emailed him to ask his availability for Summer 2024. After picking our dates that would work best for our family, we chose to book via VRBO in order to reserve them quickly and not wait for things to book up. I have 47 emails between the owner and myself, each of them discussing our family of 8, need for transportation for all of us and ideas for excursions to accommodate our group of 8. There was not one mention that I reserved his home wrong on the VRBO site until the night before we arrived for our trip, we were told we owed an additional $490 due to his policy of parties 6 or more needing to pay $35/per person per night. This is not stated any where on his description nor was I trying to occupy more than his listing suggested of 8 adults. After traveling internationally for the past 24 hours, we waited to pay after talking to him and receiving cell service. He instantly became irate, red faced and verbally abusive saying there’s nothing to be discussed, I was a liar, scam artist, etc. He chose to say these things right in front of my husband, my children, my father and brother. He told us to find somewhere else to stay, call VRBO and leave a review. He left 5 adults and 3 children stranded on his porch in a foreign country.
