"The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a bit tired but our room was clean and had everything we needed. I couldn't get the TV to work but that wasn't much of a problem. There was a loud whirring noise on and off on the second night woke us up but it did stop eventually. The hotel was reasonable priced and close to the aquatics centre where my son was competing. "

"It's expensive for what it is. The welcome involves some reminders of the reason why people choose those budget chain hotels, including signing for a 30 day holding charge of a significant amount on your card. The room was in a poor state, the ceiling was messy and the taps move as you turn them. The bed had a central point that a couple can roll into and the wooden floor has seen better days. The noise through the single glazing let's you experience the road throughout your stay and the emergency vehicles and motorbikes make the dark hours less relaxing. Breakfast is basic and not great. The staff are all friendly and the place has a (slightly ripped up) pool table and lounge area with a bar. The car park is very limited, but there is parking for free on the busy road outside. I wouldn't stay here again and I forgot how much it cost, (just checked.. Oh no!) thinking it was a cheap one, but it's not. I guess Liverpool is not the best value for hotels and so this hotel was one of the less expensive of the expensive options out there. "

"Clean room, staff friendly and the breakfast was excellent although the coffee was very poor and tasteless. Bed was really comfortable as well!"

"Parking was easy. Comfortable walk to hooton train station. Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Food is excellent especially Cajun wedges. Rooms are basic but ask the staff for fridge, hairdryer etc and they’ll provide. Place was quiet. They had a large function with over 100 people Saturday night and no impact to us. Beautiful gardens "

"The man at check-in was so downbeat and abrupt. He told me that I had two keys as the toilet and all washing facilities were remote. This was not noted anywhere during booking. This room was over £100 I should note. I then went to the room and it was absolutely tiny. A hard double bed with a tiny single wobbly wardrobe and small table. The only light was a 600mm x 900mm skylight window with a poor blind. Had to be open to make the room a bareable temperature but the light and noise as a result made sleep very difficult. The bathroom down the corridor that was not signed as being a bathroom so I had to go back down the three floors to reception to confirm the bathroom location. It had a really poor power shower, toilet and small sink. The washroom was shared with at least 5 rooms. I will never be going back. Horrible night in a claustrophobic room. Travelodge etc are a major step up in quality and service for comparable price."
