Indian Rocks Beach Retreat is GREAT!!

My husband and I really loved our stay here. It was clean and super cute. The king bed was so comfy that we joked about taking the mattress home with us. It is convenient to all the places (beach, restaurants, bars) that we liked. We hope to stay here again.

First time to area!

This was my mother and I’s first time visiting Indian Rock, and this place knocked it out of the park! It was exactly as described, the beach items and kitchen were a big perk for us since flying in from Pa! We will definitely be back to the area and keep this rental in mind for future stays.

Disappointed

The home was clean and accessible. The staff person (Kim) was responsive, but not always knowledgeable. We had hoped to watch the NCAA basketball tournament but we were unable to access the broadcast channels. We do not own a smart TV, and no one could explain how to operate the smart TV. It would have been helpful to have a users guide for the TV and the coffee maker. E. G., the pot would not heat water unless the Keurig pod lid was open.

Decent… But not great!

We felt a bit unwelcome upon arrival as neighboring homes had plastered signs around the property that expressed their displeasure with renters in their neighborhood. The good? comfortable beds and a cute, functional kitchen. Easy walk to the beach. On the downside, we were not informed until we arrived that the on-site laundry was located in front of another unit in the building. This made it awkward having to cut across their patio of other renters with our dirty laundry In order to access the washer and dryer. Also, the bathroom shower contains a large window that faces the street. Although the window is frosted, there are no blinds or curtains for privacy, so anyone walking by could watch us showering. This made my wife quite uncomfortable. The neighbors renting upstairs were extremely noisy, and you can hear every footstep from below. Not sure if they were permanent tenants or the owner, but they allowed their children to make a mess of the walkway by scattering seashells everywhere, painting and chalking the sidewalk and building, toys scattered everywhere, etc. we felt very uncomfortable having to side step through the mess every time we came and went. If you’re simply looking for a place to crash and walk to the beach each day, this may work for you. However, if you choose to feel comfortable and welcome during your stay, I would suggest you look elsewhere.
