Charming home atop a mountain with great views of rolling hills and forest! Huge open and uncluttered spaces. Come enjoy the serenity of being so far away from it all in this park like green space. We are 30 minutes away from nearest anything and we like it like that. If you're looking for a peaceful paradise you'll find it here. Large kitchen with all new upscale appliances. We have Wi-fi, fire pit with free firewood, grill with charcoal provided and a brand new hot tub recently added! Jim and I are local host/owners who live nearby and truly love hosting and sharing our place. We try to think of your every need and be attentive to all the details to make your stay relaxing and comfortable. Come stay with us and exhale!

  • Standing under the Natural Bridge in Slade Kentucky. Its namesake natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves as a nature preserve. #Nature

  • This is sky bridge. The most massive arch in Red River. it spans over a hundred feet and about 50 feet in the air. Probably the most famous arch in Red River, it has been seen in movies. Many astro-photographers flock here because of it's structure and clear skyline. If you get a chance, the trail is only .8 miles and very much worth it. You first walk across the top of the arch, it is so big that you are halfway across before you notice your not just on a narrow rock path. then you circle around to be under the arch.

Peaceful retreat with great views

Margo and Jim were great hosts and provided us with a great family getaway. We enjoyed the location, the hot tub, the fire pit, the sunrise and sunset views. House was clean. Appliances modern and new. Kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The very best part was a clear sky filled with more stars than we’ve ever seen.

Perfect Getaway!

We loved our stay at this lovely, peaceful house. The hosts are fantastic and have thought of everything, from comfortable beds and furniture, to kitchen necessities, toiletries and fluffy towels for every need. Everything was very clean and in perfect working order. Even the outdoor space was tidy and welcoming! This house would be a great option for many different guests, from a couple looking to get away from it all (like us!) to a large family vacation. The area is beautiful and this rental serves as a great base camp to come back to and relax every night. Thank you, Margo and Jim!

Home away from home

We really enjoyed our stay, the house was very welcoming with updated appliances. The property was well maintained and had amazing views. A very quiet and serene setting. The mattress was very comfortable. Our host were awesome. We accidentally left some items behind and they went out of their way to make we recovered our possessions. We highly recommend staying here, 5 stars isn't enough.
