Western isles
Property easy to find Kitchen area really well supplied and great seating area. The sofa and mattresess needs to be updated and en suite area required attention. Host was very pleasant and attentive Would stay here again if upgrades on seating area and bedding we're implemented.

Thank you for your positive review, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay. Cottage has now had many recent updates including brand new beds and also brand new 6 seater corner sofa. Sky Q is available in all rooms. Front and rear gardens also improved to make for an even better guest experience.

Excellent location for ferry terminal. Easy access to main roads for exploring Lewis and Harris. Provided everything we needed unlike other properties we have stayed in. Having Sky Q was a great bonus so we could record programmes while we were out exploring and watch them later.

A real cosy cottage. Very well equipped. Lively sea view from dining table and lovely walks.
A great property. Very competently priced with good bedroom space and many modern conveniences for a truly great holiday. Very convenient to walk into Stornoway and local shops and restaurants.

A very cosy and comfortable cottage
This cottage was immaculately clean, comfortable and cosy cottage. It is close enough to Stornaway to walk into town to enjoy the restaurants, pubs and shops, but is also a very quiet area. It is an easy walk to the sea.

Wonderful little cottage
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the cottage. The house was spotlessly clean, well stocked, cosy and comfortable. It was in a good location, close to the town centre and ferry port. The host was easy to contact via email and helpful Many thanks!!

Well equipped and comfortable cottage
It had all the facilities that you would need at a holiday cottage. It was well maintained comfortable and a large garden at the back. Parking was on the premises, with good communication with the owner. Great place to stay for site seeing or doing nothing.

The island life
Excellent. Clean,comfortable,excellent facilities and an open view from the rear of the property. Walking distance to town and castle and the rest of Lewis and Harris easily accessible. The lady who looks after the property was friendly, cheerful,pretty! and efficient while the owner, Murdo Maclean was an absolute star throughout, easily contacted and helpful, especially when the weather closed in.

Stornoway visit
The property had been nicely refurbished, the kitchen was well equipped and the property was nice and clean. The property is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Stornoway in a quiet location. Lovely location for walking and seeing the sites of Lewis and Harris.

A proper home away from home
Beautiful cottage with everything and more you will need for your stay. Spotless clean,very central to amenities in Stornoway. Good base for exploring the island. Very good WiFi connection. Would definately recommend. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.

Lovely, well equipped cottage in great location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - very comfortable, well equipped cottage with everything we needed. The owner, Murdo, was very friendly in email communication. The big back garden was a nice surprise and a huge hit with our young boys who enjoyed playing football and tennis, and we were able to enjoy a BBQ there too. The cottage is in an ideal location for exploring the island and for accessing local shops and services. Thank you for a great stay!

Lovely and handy location for Stornoway
Great rental for a week or more in Stornoway, including comfortable rooms and a large kitchen area area with lovely countryside views. Very handy for the city centre (10-15 minutes walk to most downtown places) and nice, helpful hosts. Would highly recommend or visit again!

Very good but let down by attention to detail see below
The property was ideally located to explore the islands and Stornoway being a short walk away. Overall the facilities provided were very good and quite comprehensive. However we felt the property was let down some issues i.e. - most of the internal walls had lots of dirty marks on them and judging by the amount it suggested that the property had not been decorated for some time. -with reference to housekeeping, there were dirty fingerprints on the t.v. screen and a couple of cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. Additionally the gas hob could not be used when we arrived as the igniter did not work (no gas and no spark) It is issues like these that should be checked properly prior to commencement of a let period.

Nice, spacious and near to the city
we stay one week in this house and everything was confortable and warm. The house has everything you can need, in a quiet surround. But very close to the town (ten minutes walk). Tesco is a 5 minutes walk. Murdo (the owner) was very kind and lovely.

"Make your way to Stornoway!"
The cottage was brilliant for us. The attention to detail eg all the implements for cooking and the cupboard space in the kitchen were plentiful. The overall standard of furniture and space was incredible. We certainly didn't have enough clothes with us to fill the drawers or wardrobe. The bathroom and ensuite facilities also worked very well for us. The wifi was the best we have experienced on the island and had no problems with all four of us using it and with two teenage daughters saved a lot of grief for mum and dad. The pleasant surprise (for me) being sports nut was full sky sports tv. To cap it all of we had ten days of glorious sunshine and the Hebcelt festival of music. I can't find find fault with any of what was provided for us apart from not being able to sus out how to work the music in the bathroom. The town centre is an easy ten minute walk away where some excellent eating/drinking places can be found. Well done Murdo I hope all goes well for you and your cottage remains annonymous so that it will be possible for us to return!!!!!!!!

Excellent property in a lovely town.
The cottage is well situated in a quiet area within walking distance of the town centre. It is well proportioned and well laid out and well looked after. It is ideal for a small family. I will hopefully be able to return at a future date.
