“The hotel and our room (No 5) were nicely styled in a modern silver-grey scheme. Our room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. Bathroom was clean and modern too. However, 3x issues really: 1. the TV didn't work very well - aerial didn't function properly so signal & picture/sound kept cutting out; 2. bathroom door didn't shut fully; and lastly, 3. single-glazed windows meant noise from the road outside was loud. We were also awoken on 2 nights around 2am from loud & shrill girls'……

“Lovely welcome from Ella on arrival. We have a standard double room which was perfectly adequate for our stay. Very clean, quality bed linen/towels. Mattress firm but to our liking but firm pillows not my preference but slept fine. Room facing road so light sleeper might find it a bit noisy but did not bother us. Facilities great, lovely bar/restaurant on sea front, great views and great outdoor seating area. Had a lovely dinner and Jack was our lovely waiter. Breakfast was a good selection and……

“A clean, well-run place. I booked at the last minute, so the email with information on accessing the place was sent by email while I was on the train. Wifi on the train was non-existent, so I had difficulty downloading the information, so I rang the landlord, who was extremely helpful. ”

“Clean very basic but did the job. You get what you pay for so for the cheap rate paid it was a good value budget hotel that was clean with friendly staff. They are in the process of refurbishment.”

“There was no clear indication of how we accessed the property. Despite trying to communicate with the owner, there was no response. We had to just turn up and hope for the best. Luckily, after getting to the pod, the key was there and the stay was good. It has everything you need and is in a great location. ”

Check inn was quick and easy and entrance to hotel is actually separate to the adjacent pub which was great as we wasn't disturbed by any noise from the revellers on a weekend! Room was very spacious for a family of 4 and was very clean! Would highly recommend and great location. Only 5 min drive to Margate central!”

“I love these type of B&B’s. This B&B is steeped in history built in the 18th century, On the land owned by the Spencer family, Vincent Van Gogh also lived on the square, so this is not a modern hotel if that’s what you’re looking for, it has steep stairs and smallish rooms, but is full of character, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the hospitality was fantastic and the breakfast was delicious, the pub on the corner is very friendly and only a short walk to the beach.”
