  • Q Square mall-- not exactly a tourist destination (there are many malls in Taipei) but it's a nice mall located close to Taipei Main station (Metro/MRT) if you're looking to escape the heat. Huge food courts here too with lots of options (and obviously shopping). This mall also has a movie theatre, which shows mostly American movies (but cheaper). It's also about a 10-15 walk to the historic Dihua street, one of the oldest areas of the city which was once the main market area (still lots of interesting shops there that cater to the local...good photo opps too with some older buildings)

Pros: Place is conveniently located. Bed is clean and comfortable. Cons: Can hear the traffic noise Room is rather small for 4 pax Toliet tiles looks old and the basin tap is rather stiff.

Good basic hotel

Good basic hotel, way larger room than in Taipei in general. Also big plus for bathroom privacy, as it had a proper door (instead of the glass ones majority of hotels in Taipei had). Note worthy that the soundproofing was fairly poor, and sounds like water running were pretty constant and loud throughout the night. Will need earplugs. Also the curtains were broken, so despite the room having windows (again unlike majority of hotels in Taipei) we could not enjoy the outside view. Bathroom was nice and clean, seemed fairly freshly renovated. Note worthy that there is a hotel 20min walk away with almost exactly the same name, so need to double check when navigating!

Shania one of the receptionists spoke excellent English helped us settle in and gave us any advice we needed. Great country, great people. Hotel has 3pm check in nothing earlier.

The staff and the location are outstanding. The only reason I would hesitate to stay at CHECK Inn Express Taipei Station is the size of the room. The rooms are small with no place to place a suitcase.

Will book again!

Great trip from start to finish. Quick and easy check in, all of the staff were nice and friendly and spoke English. The room was super clean and the bed was big + comfy. I forgot to bring toiletries and thankfully the hotel provided some (toothbrush+toothpaste, soap, towels, house slippers, etc.) Front door is locked after hours and staff has to let you in which is nice for security but would suck if they aren't paying attention haha. I think you are suppose to use your room key to get in on your own but I didn't figure it out since they let me in once they saw me. Location was convient, close to bus stops so was very easy to go sightseeing. Will be booking again in the future!

基本的にはキレイでしたが、細かなところはちょっと古い感がありました。壁紙の剥がれ、流しのアイアンは錆び剥がれがありました。使用には問題無いです。 水の流れる音が凄くします。寝てしまえば気になりませんが、人によるかもしれません。隣の話し声も聞こえました。 水のペットボトルもあり、良かったです。（補充はドントディスターブなのでか無し、1階に給水機が有りました。） 窓の景色は見えませんが、ライブカメラで台湾各地の夜景など見てました。 24時間チェックインできて助かりました。操作がうまくいかなかったですが、手伝ってくれて出来ました。夜中でもフロントに誰かいるので、安心です。日本語スタッフはわかりません。片言の英語でなんとかなりました。 挨拶や外出する時に前を通りますが会釈などあって感じ良かったです。いつでも照明ついてて明るいので安心します。
