"We really enjoyed our quick stay at The Orchid Retreat in Agra, India! I was surprised how close we were staying to the Taj Mahal, as we were able to walk there to get in line & buy tickets in advance online. The staff were so timely, friendly, & helpful with Taj arrangements and information. The rooms were well maintained and cleaned nicely. The food was very nice. "This place is dusgusting, hot water, smelly bathrooms, mosquitos, dirty and worn sheets n towels... stained. Staff turn A/C off externally, and power to rooms so if phone on charge... it don't charge. Restaurant staff don't understand toast n jam on menu, and charge extra for butter. My rooms cost me £24 per night 2 rooms single occupancy, so £96 advertised at £12 pernight some places... not worth £12 "Very close to Taj Mahal" was the only positive thing can be said. "

"Prashant and his Family take great care to make sure your stay is a pleasant one, the location is good, with walking distance to the taj Mahal and to I love Agra. The rooms are homely and the bathroom spotless. The balcony are is nice too. The homemade paratas are worth trying. An enjoyable stay and would recommend it to anyone. I would definitely stay again"

"This is a proper 3-4 star hotel . Clean , good interior , with roof top restaurent cafe and bar . Taj Mahal view . staff behaviour is good . everything is good about this hotel except few small things 1) i Paid at the hotel , booked via expedia 2) Hotel entrance makes is look cheap hotel but its a goood hotel from inside 3) Bathroom had some problems but not issue with cleaninness 4) TV did not work . 5) bit far from Taj mahal .     "We had a fabulous 1 nights stay at this wonderful hotel made so special by the staff! They were so helpful before we arrived by booking train tickets and arranging taxis, during our stay with making sure meals were swift when we went out and at the end of our stay by ordering me a raincoat which arrived within 15 mins as i had forgotten to bring one with me & it was raining at my onward safari experience!! Totally wonderful ….special thanks to Tanushree and Prabhjot!!! Totally recommend them!! "
