Takikawa Cheap Hotels

"The hotel is right next to Asahikawa station. It is also attached to a shopping mall so lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The lobby is on the 5th floor. Hotel has a nice library area, onsen, drink vending machines, toiletry amenities including a selection of pillows you can use. There is a separate elevator going to the rooms on floors 6-11. Room was spacious and comfortable. Daily housekeeping was available. Breakfast was available on the 4th floor and it had an excellent selection of dishes. Parking also available. The surrounding area is excellent with lots of shopping and restaurants."

"Accidentally booked a smoking room, they helped change that at no charge when we got there. The room was massive and the bed was very comfy. Plenty of parking but, they were a little hard to find at first."

"Rude and dismissive staff. We booked three rooms for three nights but when we arrived we found it unsatisfactory. Among other things, our non-smoking rooms had cigarette smells, probably due to poor ventilation in the building. We asked the hotel if we could just stay one night and get a refund for the other two nights and the counter staff just said no. Just one word, no. The manager came out and said we could leave tomorrow if we wanted but we can't get our money back. There was zero attempt at service recovery. None of them bothered to ask what we found lacking and if there was anything they could do to make it better. I have stayed in multiple other Japanese business hotels but none with staff as rude as Court Hotel. Bad service, tired rooms, poor ventilation, and weak aircon – do yourself a favour and just stay somewhere else. "
