“Our room was very characterful with lovely old floorboards and nice padded chairs. Super king sized bed (very comfortable). Nice selection of drinks with specialised fruit teas and hot chocolate provided in the room. Overall the accommodation is very spacious and full of period charm. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The Hotel is well placed for days out to Powis Castle, lake Vyrnwy, Barmouth and many local RSPB reserves. I recommend the vegan curry.”

“Loved it. Room was adequate (once you’ve got used to all the creaks and bumps). This is a 16th century building in all its glory. Food was plentiful, well cooked and hot. Although our room over looked an island there was no problem with road noise. There was plenty of parking front and rear. Cannot sing it’s praises enough, in fact we’ll be going back just as soon as we can. Loved it!”

Accommodation basic (perfect for me and dog) but clean, all facilities worked well. The only thing I missed was a comfy chair to sit and read... but the bed sufficed (very comfy btw). Would definitely go back. ”

“This is a GEM of a B&B! It’s tucked away in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountains, and is an absolute slice of heaven. The mansion is truly beautiful, and has been renovated with an eye for design and careful respect of its past. The antique furnishings were so perfectly chosen for each room, and the bathrooms were modern and classy. Our two rooms were both very generously sized, and both had rooftop patios overlooking the mountains in the distance. Breakfast was divine - fine dining in……

“I liked this glamping POD, it was cosy with a working toilet and shower. The hot tub was excellent, we spent a lot of time in it. It was not inflatable but a real one that could hold 4-6 people.
