“A well situated lovely apartment. Initially we struggled to gain entry my fault I’d had instructions since January and did not realise. Loads of gadgets if you’re technical. Water for showers was lovely and hot. We had no issues with noise. Parking was opposite £21 for 3 days but knowing the area we parked on a road 5 mins away. ”

“Simon and Jean have thought of everything so be reassured you’ll have everything you need in a cosy character cottage, perfectly placed with plentiful eateries in and around Windermere, on the doorstep of the beautiful lakes. Ideal for walks up Helvellyn, Rydal caves/Loughrigg Fell and Helm Craig. Thank you!!”

“Amazing property . Loved the carved wood ceilings and wood panelled walls not to mention the secret door. Never seen so many books outside a library. unfortunately didn’t stay long enough to read any. Also a vast selection of DVDs. The communal lounge was magnificent, we didn’t use it but were very impressed. The rest of our accommodation housed everything we needed and was clean and functional. The bathroom maybe needed updating but maybe I am nit picking, plenty of hot water and at a good……

“Big house with great sized rooms and plenty space for our 15 adults and 5 children. Hot tub was great. Living space/bar area very roomy and open. The owners were very flexible with the Sunday checkout times which was nice of them. The kitchen is a professional kitchen (for the weekday BnB purpose I guess) so not quite the social space that you're used to in a more traditional house. One of the bedrooms does have a particularly un-private toilet in it, which may trouble some people. But overall,……

“Charming location that allowed exploring the lake district without a car. Frequent buses at the stop nearby. Loved the old stone walls with the slate floors. We have an old house with narrow stairs, so they felt like home. (Hang onto the railing). We arrived in a downpour, and had some trouble locating #14 (overgrown). Thank goodness for SPAR at the gas station for hot coffee and food basics. Go hiking out the back, up the field, around the sheep for some incredible views”

“A beautiful 4 day stay in a gorgeous location. Very relaxing with stunning scenery. Easy to book and excellent clear arrival details. The boathouse is so unique with care paid to every detail to make our stay so enjoyable. We will recommend to friends and family.”

“A different day a different walk straight from the door. Just what we wanted! Beauty all around, on the doorstep. Swim in a gorgeous tarn 10 mins walk away. And when you need some R & R there’s a well equipped kitchen and a comfy bed in v tranquil setting, listening to the resident owl. Thank so much!”
