“Welcoming hostess, good bed and quiet sleep, tasty breakfast, clean bedding and towels. But...
I was shocked by the condition of the place. Vey old fashioned and too shabby and worn. Carpets especially bad. Shower room stank awful and shower painted over with white paint. Sink in bedroom painted too. Only a skylight. Not seen anything this bad before, but bearable for me. Fortunately on my own as wife would not have entered this place.”

“This was a very friendly place with nice food. It is on a very busy main road so opening windows at night is noisy. Bathroom needed a good clean and some maintenance, new grouting also some hooks would help in the bathroom.”

“Wow. Amazing to find a Hotel like that in the middle of nowhere. While the decor is dated, the staff and food were great. We didn’t see any squirrels- which was a bit disappointing. Great walks around the area.”

“The rooms were luxuriously furnished and the hotel overall is very cosy and welcoming. Staff couldn;t do enough to help and the attention to detail was fantastic, everything from bags for walking boots to fresh milk on the landing for in room tea and coffee. A bottle of speciality beer in the room was a bonus.”
