"This hotel has great rooms for cheap prices. Our room had a complication but the hotel staff upgraded our room no questions asked and were very apologetic for the issue. 4 stars. I'd give it 5 stars if there wasn't an issue with the original room, but how the staff reacted to the issue was exceptional!"

"The house was great and in perfect condition.
Great location as it is 3 min from the Inari shrine and close to the train station which is always helpful.
Nothing to complain about except 1 thing: there was no pool table as shown on the photos and we were not told about it. The guy who gave us the keys told us it is being fixed, which is fine but we would have prefered to know beforehand as we were very excited about it.

"It was interesting staying in a Japanese house. Really enjoyed that. However the location was not practical sunce we had to taxi to Gion. I was unable to enjoy the beautiful bath since the water was only lukewarm and I tried many times and yes, I pressed the water red button as instructed"

"We recently stayed for a week, and it was a relaxing stay in Kyoto. The staff was great, the room clean, the breakfast awesome. The onsen was a relaxing experience, and we are glad we could stay during our vacation."
"The hotel is in a great location, walkable to the train station and surrounded by a quiet neighbourhood. It was easy to get around while still enjoying a peaceful stay. The public bath was well maintained and a great way to unwind after a day out."
"The room was very nice and clean. The location is right near Kyoto station and there is also a coin laundry down the street if the ones in the hotel are full. "
"Room was great with a large bathroom; much bigger overall space compared to the chain hotels in Japan. Staff were wonderful. In-room massage was incredible—definitely recommend. "
"location to train station, hot tub area, room, beds, amenities, bathrooms. More or less everything. Wish they had free breakfast. It was pricey though for per person so we ate outside. "
