“Very well situated, right in the old part of Newtown. Quiet neighborhood and close to the busier streets. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Kindly let us stay past the check out hour. We didn’t get a room in the house we had reserved (not in Melville but in an adjacent house) and the room we got didn’t look like the pictures posted on line. It was a little poky but since we only wanted to use it to sleep in, it didn’t bother us much. ”

I was running late for my check-in, and the staff reached out to connect with me. I certainly appreciate their concern! I would definitely recommend this Inn for anyone traveling in RI. ”

“Gilded is a good choice in Newport. Free parking was a big bonus. Bathroom was a little small for my liking but room was clean. Elizabeth at the front desk was super nice. No problem recommending. ”

“A beautiful property well kept in a great location. Only con we found was the issue with the doors. All door locks including bathroom and bedroom don’t work. Also the main door to the building had issues. ”
