  • Mayfield is a modern semi detached house at the end of the avenue.. The house has recently been refurbished to a high standard. A conservatory has been added and there is plenty of outdoor space on the new patio.The lounge is large with comfy sofas and arm chairs. There is of course full central heating and doubled glazed windows and doors. The large dining kitchen is also new and fulequipped. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms and one with bunk beds. The new shower room is fitted with a wc and wash basin. Next to the house there is a grassed area suitable for older children to play .
    Mayfield is situated on the edge of Thornton Cleveleys and is an ideal base for visiting both Blackpool and Fleetwood and beyond.. Local buses stop on demand outside the house. The main bus service along Fleetwood Road is the no;14 which goes to Fleetwood and Blackpool. The beaches are just a short drive or bus ride. Fleetwood Freeport shopping village is on the 14 bus route. There are childrens attractions there as well as shopping. Fleetwoods traditional outdoor/indoor market is also very popular. Real ale fans must not miss the Strawberry Gardens also in Fleetwood
    Children are welcome at Mayfield and can play safely in the enclosed rear garden. Farmer Parrs Animal World is also very close. The Iron Horse pub is very popular with its outdoor play area for the kids.
    A cot , high chair and toys can be provided if required.
    For golf lovers there are courses at Fleetwood, North Shore, Stanley Park and Lytham St Annes. There is also a large sports center on Victoria road East
    This property is also very close to Rossall school and Fleetwood Nautical College
    This property can be booked with our other Thornton Cleveleys property Bluebell cottage which is just a 10 minute walk away , It is advertised on this website too. Please contact us with any questions you may have . We are a local family and are happy to help!

Wasnt very clean. Pet hairs on bathroom floor an towels. Lge Cobwebs in hallway. Couch in need of upgrading altho had blankets over them. Beds comfy but window blinds needing replaced as it had broken cords and slats missing. A lot of owners paperwork lying about.Nice size telly with dvd player a bonus.Location ideal for blackpool and fleetwood.Cleanliness has put us off returning.

Family holiday

Had a lovely stay was a quiet neighbourhood plenty of places near by to walk the dogs , shops close by 5 mins by car 15 mins if walking we had a lovely week and there was pkenty if room for us all thanks for a great time

Stay at Mayfields Cleverleys Blackpool

Listing accurately reflects a respectable clean semi on the edge of a very quiet estate - driveway parking, secure back garden for dogs, multiple supermarkets less than a 5 min drive, 10 mins from Backpool beach (a bit cold in January) - everything I needed for a break.

Short break

This was the 2nd time we stayed in this house. Very clean and cosy. Close to shops, beach and local transport. Only down fall was no shelves in the fridge. Would highly recommended and we would stay again.

Great time

We had a great stay at this property. The house was perfect for our needs . It had everything we needed and was nicely decorated. It has a good size conservatory and it is in a good location , Ideal for visiting Blackpool, Fleetwood, Morecambe etc. It has an enclosed garden which was safe and secure for our dog. It would be ideal for a family . On the downside the kitchen cupboards could do with a good clean and also the carpet . Overall this is a good place to stay and would definitely stay again.

Family break away

Mayfield house is a lovely cosy home as described. We were a family of three. The addition of a extra tv room in the conservatory and two hand rails on the stairs was very helpful and made the stay easy for my mother. The location was ideal for all the surrounding areas we were no more than 10 minutes away from where we planned to visit. There is a good local pub within walking distance and a local shop for supplies.

Great value for money

Plenty of space for a family, 2 decent size bedrooms and a small room with bunk beds. Comfortable beds, 1 double, 1 king size. Decent size wardrobes and loads of hangers. Nice conservatory on the back, spent a lot of time in there relaxing. Large back yard with patio furniture, good sun trap and sheltered from wind. Drive on front of house ideal as the house is situated on a bus route, however not a noisy road. Very good value for money.

Nice cheap and cheerful place to stay for a week near Blackpool. Could definitely do with a bit of an update/TLC, but for the price, we can't complain. If your looking for a basic place to base yourself then this is ideal. I do think that the listing needs updating with some more recent photos/information. It was well equipped, and we were really grateful of the washing machine and 2 good airers inside and a string line outside. Really helped when we did lots of swimming and beach trips. Although the washing machine drawer is broken, this didn't bother us as we just put detergent in the machine. King bed was comfy but the double wasn't good - could feel all the springs in the mattress. Bunks more suitable for younger kids but seemed comfortable enough, although the top bar was loose and did pop off a few times, leaving exposed screw. No Biggie for us but if you had little ones it maybe more of an issue. The location is lovely, far enough away from everything and in a quiet residential street, next to a green where the children can play. Garden was lovely, secure for the dogs/kids and being paved it was very practical and we enjoyed sitting out and using the provided table and chairs. Would have been really helpful to be able to use the side gate but the padlock was rusted and we couldn't get it open. Oven only has one shelf. Plenty of saucepans, utensils etc. TV is only live TV, so I'd advise bringing a fire stick or similar if like us you only use streaming apps

Hi first looks at the property was ok until you stepped inside there was a lot of dog hair especially in the conservatory area the whole house needs to be upgraded throughout the walls are dirty there is a bad repair to the toilet door which looks like someone has punched it beds all need replacing could feel every spring slept on top of the duvet one family member has been bitten twice by something all the carpets need replaced and the settees in the conservatory need thrown out plus with the heat we have been experiencing the smell of urine was pungent would not recommend this property we felt compelled to clean the property as is shown in the pictures in the limited time we had but everything got bleached toilet was minging

We enjoyed our stay at this property, facilities were nice and there was adequate space for me, hubby and our 4 kids. Communication with owner was great and questions were answered promptly. Only downside was shower as wasn’t very strong so a struggle to wash long hair. We would stay again 😊
