“It was clean, comfortable and in great proximity to hiking trails and amazing wildlife. A full kitchen with everything (bring your own food) provided. We loved it !!”

“We we're going to the Buffalo Roundup in Custer State Park and planned on sitting on the north side. It worked out very well. The location of the ranch was excellent. The place was very well kept up with the exception of the fireplace which was one of the reasons it was a location of choice. The fireplace was listed as part of the perks but it did not work and the owner said it had not worked in several years. We were quite disappointed and they need to change their listing. “A very clean and well appointed option in the Black Hills. Great view from the back deck and the patio heater came in handy in the evening. Nice to be out in the hills where our dogs could run around and burn off some energy in the mornings and evenings. Easy check in and check out and the hosts were great to work with.”

“Great location right in downtown Custer. The unit seemed newly updated. Beds were comfy and we appreciated the water bottles and snacks. We loved doing the camping puzzle and hanging out in the evenings after long days of sightseeing and wildlife spotting! If I could add anything it would be a dishwasher (no one wants to wash dishes on vacation - am I right?) Parking was super convenient right out front. I would stay here again:-)”

“Two complaints. We were at the mercy of the main floor thermostat. Night temps were too warm. TV options were awful, especially on the weekend. All TV options were "free" Visio "channels". No Local networks for news or weather. Not one national football game available. VISIO free channels are not real channels. Please consider adding a real stove and a real refrigerator. We struggled with cooking (abandoned) and food cooling options forced us to buy ice and coolers. Apparently you planned on……

“Our stay at this property lasted all of about 30 minutes before we tapped out. From the front door, we walked down the steps into a dingy basement hallway with three identical, unmarked doors. We could hear somebody on the left, so we tried one of the other two doors at random. The door to the front door unlocked our door, and there was no dead bolt on our door. “Rustic Ridge cabins are wonderful! The property managers are the nicest, most accommodating people. The cabins are clean and stocked with all the things you need. The stone steps and the trees create a beautiful, peaceful retreat.”

“Why not stay the night in a cute little cabin with a wide porch in the woods instead of a standard hotel? The staff is super nice and helpful, and our room is clean and comfortable. We had a picnic on the porch after our tour of Mount Rushmore which is only 4 miles away. Highly recommended!”

“Overall, this house was well stocked with towels and the hot tub was great. We were thinking this would be a little more remote than it was, given a neighbor is right across the creek. The back of the house was a peaceful hillside though. We didn't realize there also wasn’t a dishwasher. While washing our own dishes was fine, the ones already put away weren’t all clean.”
