“The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna.”

“Melfort Village is terrific. Beautiful setting and marvellous accommodation. There is a pool, tennis court, putting green, restaurant /bar (great food)and lots of space. The staff are great, enthusiastic and helpful.Walks in the nearby hills or to the lochs. The Village is well placed for access to the magnificent nearby scenery (but do not follow the receptionist recommendation as to how to get to the falls - the road is a nightmare and there is a longer but better way!). All in all just a……

“We stayed only two nights. The property is about 30 minutes outside of Oban at the edge of a smaller loch and just outside a small village. The staff was very accommodating and helpful, including when we had an issue (likely self-inflicted) with a washing machine. We would definitely stay again, and make time to stay longer and enjoy more of the area as well as the property’s many amenities. Strongly recommended.”
