"This site is still under construction but promises to be a nice getaway. I was the only cabin in use. The huge windows provided a great view of the lake and the daily gathering of Canadian geese. Perfect place for dogs with clean tile floors - easy to clean and don’t hold smells from previous pets. Comfortable bed, great TV, tight quarters with limited furniture/seating (no place to set suitcase), beautiful bathroom, basic kitchen tools (no serving bowls or mixing dish) and coffee provided....

"This is a large property with many rooms and has the need of a staggered modernization. I believe the facility was originally constructed in the 70's. Flooring and bathrooms should be targeted. While professing to be a 24 hour facility, no one was at the desk at my 0530 am check-out and I left without a receipt. Not the end of the world. Breakfast is as I remember from previous stays; hot, ample and varied, Did notice a lack of decaf coffee this time and better choice of bagels. Parking was ample, convenient and free. This brings up a point about room pricing although I understand why it has evolved in the hotel industry. Why does the same room demand double the rental rate on the weekend?"

"The stay was decent enough. Best part is that it's pet friendly. Front desk guy was not very friendly when we checked in; but...maybe he was having a bad day. Beds were comfortable enough. Room was clean. No breakfast. We stayed on a Saturday night and it was pretty quiet. Non-smoking but had a strong skunk smell lingering in the second floor hallway (IYKYK). I'd stay here again."

Galesburg Extended Stay I-74 (Newly Renovated)

"Breakfast was not included in our price. We could purchase it for $10. We just went out. We stayed 2 nights. The rooms and hallways were clean. The AC worked great. The beds were comfortable. TV worked. Showers were warm with grab bar. Full bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were available and attached to the wall in the shower, which was nice, except the conditioner bottle had shampoo in it. I just used my own conditioner. Basic room. Good price. There was no phone in the room. They did not service the room while we were there. I guess for the price, we were supposed to ask for more towels? We did not see any information in the room about wifi or how to contact the office. Extended stay is a separate building from where the office is in Best Western, a brief walk away. They offered ice water and coffee in the lobby. I guess there was an ice machine in our building, but we did not look for it. We were there in October as vendors for the Scenic Drive. We wanted to stay there for the 2nd weekend of the Scenic Drive, but the price for a room was jacked way up, evidently because of a family weekend at Knox College? Not sure. But the price difference was very notable on hotels.com for all the hotels in Galesburg. So we had to get a room in Galva, a bit of a drive from Knoxville, though it should be pretty driving through the country with the fall colors."
