「The host responded promptly to our messages, all instructions were clear and the home was warm for us on our arrival. The space was cleverly planned to have everything you need. The views were beautiful and we were lucky to have dry days to explore Gibside and the Derwent valley. Lovely peaceful location, amenities close at hand. Thoughtful supply of books to read and general information. Very cosy and a tonic for the soul as so restful. 」

「Cleaning was not good enough, webs in showers and mould. Stains on sheets and the dishwasher was not working. We was forced to pay for cleaning, despite all this. Dont recommend this, we felt cheated on.」

「When we arrived we saw immediately that the sofabed in the lounge was broken and could not be used to sit or sleep on, this was disappointing as it meant there were not enough beds for us all. We contacted the owner and the next day a chap arrived with an airbed. We requested that the sofa be replaced but that did not happen. 「This is a great property and served our needs very well. Everything was updated and in good working order. There were 3 bathrooms which were great for our party of 5. The beds were comfortable. And the owner was very responsive. I would highly recommend this immaculate property!」
