“I read the mixed reviews and chose Macaw Guesthouse anyway - I am glad that I did. It was a reasonable option in expensive New York City and it was as described. Charming hosts who went out of their way to welcome me and ensure that I was comfortable. Short walk to transportation options and dining options nearby. Highly recommend and would stay again. ”

“An important aspect that the apartment fully checked was the cleanliness: it was way better than what you usually get for a 3-star hotel - of the same price or more expensive - in the USA (from my personal experience). The apartment’s price was rather affordable for 5 days. In case the host’s time isn’t flexible, keep in mind that you must check-in at 2pm and check-out in the morning of your last visit day, at 10am - just a “fyi” in case you only leave Manhattan in the evening, so you’re……

“The host was amazing to deal with and when you are doing a trip to NYC that helps a lot. Place was super clean! I don’t think you can find a better value in Manhattan. Honestly book this place. 2 bedrooms. It’s not too cramped. They keep it very clean. And the AC unit actually works and keeps you cool. I have stayed in a lot of places in Manhattan and for the money this is top notch!”
