Castles in Urubamba Province

"Located in Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo) this is a great place to stay if you are planning on going to visit Machu Picchu, it is a 1 hour 30 minute hike to the park entrance, the bus to park is less then 5 minutes away, the hotel itself is clean cold water in sink hot water shower, breakfast is served every day from 6am till 9am before that 4am to 6am you can request bag lunch, there are several restaurants nearby, it is located about 1/4 mile up hill from town square the village it self is lovely many markets and shops. I went in the middle of June and the weather was very good. The hot springs and waterfall entrance is a 7 minute walk. ticket office to Machu Picchu is less then 5minutes away must go day before for tickets."

"I worried I wouldn't be able to sleep due to train noise. The hotel assured me it was a quiet room. It actually was very quiet! The location, the comort, and the room with a balcony made this place a winner. The breakfast was not our favorite. Eggs were good if there was any available. The papaya and cucumbers were fresh and yummy, so there were some options one could find, but avoid the rubber-like toast! All said, we'd go back to this hotel."

"I stayed here for one night to buy my Machu Picchu ticket in person, and this hotel turned out to be a great choice. The early check-in time (from 12:00 PM) was a big plus, especially after a long train ride. For the price, the room exceeded my expectation! It was clean, spacious, and had reliable hot water. Breakfast was included, and they were also kind enough to store my luggage after checkout, which helped a lot. The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around Aguas Calientes. The only minor downside: I asked if I could get some hot drinking water, but they said it had to be purchased, and it wouldn’t be very hot so I skipped it. Still, overall I was very satisfied and would happily recommend this place to other travelers looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly stay near Machu Picchu."
