Nice spacious room. Was upgraded to a king. Suite style. Great shower! Clean, comfortable. Had stove top, micro, nearly full sized frig. But no cooking dishes, utensils or dishware. Not even mugs, glasses or coffeemaker set up. Breakfast had a nice variety of options. Kept stocked. Parking was convenient to room.

For the price, (under $100/ night) it was adequate. The room was clean but the rug was dirty. It didn't look dirty but you definitely picked up dirt on your feet. The kitchenette is pretty useless and comes with nothing. So you need to bring your own dishes, silverware, utensils, dish soap, and dish towels. Then there's no table to eat on. I'd rather have just a microwave and table to heat up leftovers. Breakfast was pretty good. They had some fruit, yogurt, cereal, biscuits and gravy, waffle maker, bread, bagels, juice, and coffee. The property could use some fixing up. It's not terrible but there is rust on the exterior stairs and a couple of places in the room where the moldings are coming loose. The chair in the room was like a school chair and looked very tired. It's right next to 81, a HUGE antique mall, and some fast food restaurants. If you're on a budget, this place is fine. If you have a bit more to spend, I'd go closer to Staunton and find a nicer hotel.

Houskeeper excellent.. the two ladies from India at the laundry are nasty nasty… they don’t deserved to work there …it’s sad because they destroyed the good service from other employees. Don’t get this motel if you plan to use the stove … didn’t work .. don’t pay extra for the kitchenette is a waste of money

The smell hit us in the face!

Smelled disgusting, like 1k ashtrays! They came with Febreeze and tried to fix it! We had to buy our own and hanging air fresheners and keep spraying to survive! Was very small! Pics misleading!! The handicap room is not accessible for someone with a wheelchair! Not enough space between bed and furniture, bathroom door opens the wrong way. AND, the stool in the shower is broken, dangerous! Carpet disgusting! Both of our feet were BLACK after walking barefoot! We found hairs on the sheets, hairs in the bathroom. The bathroom didn’t look clean at all. Also, why offer a stovetop and not have pots and pans. No dishes at all. Or at least list on the site that they have it but bring your own cookware! It was noisy! Coming and going all hours! I would not recommend this place at all. The breakfast wasn’t much either. Tiny biscuits and cereals. Oh and our safety lock was completely broken off! This is a place where the doors are on the outside not an indoor place and the safety lock, gone!! Glad my husband carries!! We had 2 towels both covered in stains! This was just a nasty place!! The staff was nice!

Didn't stay the night.

We did not stay. The accommodations were not as the pictures portrayed. Our room was in a second back building and it didn't feel safe. Only one lock on the door with a gap beneath it. This hotel is not family friendly.

Staff was very helpful, friendly and had everything organized and presentable. Rooms were as described and well stocked. Breakfast was fantastic with a large variety of fresh options. Excellent experience.

Fine motel for an overnight stop

We stayed for 1 night for JMU graduation. It’s a basic motel right off 81, exactly as you’d expect. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was surprisingly good compared to other motel continental breakfasts we’ve had.

It was a good place to stay, pretty quiet area too. Staff were nice and helpful. There is a very rude old man that works there who isn’t particularly friendly not just to residents but also to other staff. Overall though we liked it.

Service was excellent, the front desk folks are kind and helpful. The room was not clean. Price was fair for the room and age of location. We had to cancel remaining days after the first night because of allergic reaction to dust and dirt.

Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. I wish the handicapped room had a taller toilet. The only issue was the noise with every room having an outside door and window.

No heat and in need of major changes.

The only rating above 1 star is because the people working the front desk were really nice and are doing the best they can with what they have to work with. Arrival went smooth, the first room I was given had a huge gap in the door frame and door jam. Noticed a few dead cockroaches on counters. The heater could not keep up. Was switched to a smoking room which had a terrible smell in the refrigerator. I bought baking soda and the smell still emanated whenever you opened the door. Also this room had a few dead cockroaches on counters in bathroom area and desk next to refrigerator. After a few days I noticed my pet staring behind the cabinets. Sure enough I saw a live mouse. Atleast this room had decent heat. Asked to be moved to a different room, 3rd room in 2 weeks of sucking it up and staying here to save $. This next room I noticed a live cockroach in the bathroom. The heater also didn’t work here in this room. On the first morning after being in this room I noticed a 2nd cockroach in the bathroom. And when leaving the room I noticed ice had formed on the door sill because of how cold the room was. I was not going to move to a 4th room and decided to get a nicer room in Charlottesville. People reviewing that the hotel was “clean” must have REALLY low standards. The breakfast was good and again the staff were all friendly and are doing the best they can. I would never consider staying here again! Maybe charge more for rooms so you can hire more staff to be able to keep up?
Literal ice that formed on Door sill because of no heat
Lowlifes who stay here can’t even flick cigarettes on the ground and noticed this on my car when finally leaving this hotel today.
