“For our purposes the location was central as a base to get to other locations we were going so we didn’t require moving to different accommodations. Older home with enough supplies for our requirements”

“Did not know that there were so many stairs to get to and from the bachelor apt., However Hosts were there at the time we arrived to check on things and graciously helped us up the stairs with our bags ! We really appreciated their friendliness and kindness after a long day . The oatmeal cookies that were left for us as a special treat were fantastic and waking up to a beautiful view with Canada geese on the lawn by the lake was amazing!”

“Great property, just as described. Gus and Gert are fantastic hosts and very welcoming. They greeted us upon arrival and gave us a rundown of the property. The have a trail that leads to the river and have done a great job of marking it off. We loved the mini driving range and the fact that they supplied the balls and clubs.”

“This was a superb location. The views are spectacular. It is isolated, which is what we were looking for. It was nothing it locked. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who does not mind some isolation.”

“Although the Rita Suite was clean, comfortable and roomy, and it is in a great location, we found it lacked some basic amenities for travelers such as: Salt and Pepper, cooking oil, servettes, extra roll of paper towel, and sufficient amount of coffee pods for the length of our stay. As well, there was no "Welcome Basket" that we are accustom to seeing at other VRBOs that includes such things as preserves, crackers etc. (i.e. small items that are often not brought by travelers). “Great location when you come to fish the Margaree River or for an overnight stay when touring. Building and grounds are good for children with lots of space and set back from the road. If you don’t cook you need to drive 25 minutes or so to go for evening meal.My only critique of the cottage would be that in my opinion the beds need eventual upgrading.”

“We had a wonderful two-night stay. It was rustic and very homey. It had all of the conveniences of home. The location was amazing. We were able to explore the Cabot Trail and come back "home" to relax. ”

“Looking for peace and quiet with an amazing view; this is the place to go. The wooden cottage is located up a hill with an amazing view on Lake Bras d’Or. The pictures are 100% accurate. Only thing to keep in mind, the drive up the hill is quite steep and the gravel road is quite bumpy. If you don’t drive a 4x4 or an awd vehicle, make sure your car is not too close to the ground or you could scrape and cause damage.”
