A little about the area:
Situated high in the mountains 400M from a restaurant and the outskirts of the village of Corfino, this is a really peaceful retreat in the depths of the countryside, affording privacy for a relaxing holiday. The village of Corfino itself has a basic shop, a couple of hotels with restaurants and a further two restaurants, so the house does not feel too remote!
The National Park of Orecchiella is only a 10 minute drive, perfect for walking and Eagle spotting!
There are supermarkets in the local village of Pieve Fosciana, a 15 minute drive and the market town of Castelnuovo is 20 minutes away.
If you can tear yourselves away from the garden and pool for days out, the medieaval town of Barga is 35 mins; Lucca 1 hr 15 mins, Pisa, 1 hr 35 mins.
This property is a perfect mix of mountain retreat and convenience, and a great base for enjoying the unique landscape of mountainous Northern Tuscany
