「We stayed here 30 years ago and it was great to be back in beautiful Paarl. New owners are very friendly and so helpful... their little doggie snowy so sweet. Its a listed building and having breakfast in the old part of the house is so cool. That is a true South African breakfast. Delicious. Never tasted a eggs bennie that good.」

「I am a repeat visitor to Pontac. A lovely place to spend time at, especially outside on the stoep. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The rooms are great, wonderful views of the mountains surrounding Paarl. Definite value for money. The only area for improvement would be breakfast, it is okay, but could use some attention.」

「Lovely high spec cottage. Clean and new interiors. A romantic stay for couples but we had a three year old! Peaceful and quiet location. A short drive to shops and not too far to some good vineyards. Breakfast was quite nice but would be good to have a helpful option. My daughter loved the trampoline and small playground. Felt like a safe location. I’d recommend taking the hotel up on their offer of starting the hot tub for arrival as I couldn’t manage it!」

「Fantastic place, a lot activities, very professional staff, always ready to help.Tasty food at Babylon, but menu to small. We stayed 5 days and getting lunch and dinner on 4 different courses is not OK. Farm houses are build for a warm summer season. First house we stayed was just to cold. next day we moved to another house, which was much better. It was our third time, bit longer this time We enjoyed every day.」

「We had a lovely couple of nights here whilst we explored the surrounding Stellenbosch area. We were travelling with our baby and nothing was too much trouble for the owners and staff - they had thoughtfully put a mosquito net over the cot they had set up for her and there was a high chair ready and set up every morning when we came down for breakfast - we really appreciated these touches. 「Absolutely spectacular — our favorite stay in South Africa! This has been by far the most spectacular place we stayed during our trip to South Africa.
