"Great location, ideal for visiting both the castle and the town centre. Our room had a brand new refurbished bathroom that was fantastic, with a huge bath tub and separate shower but the room itself definitely needed new furniture as all the surfaces were worn and it could all do with a lick of paint. The bed was VERY hard (but I prefer them this way) and we had one window without curtains so it got bright early. We had a 'corner' room and it was very quiet throughout the night. With a few small touches this could be the most excellent hotel though!"

It would have been useful to be given the list of activities at reception on arrival as we didn't find out about the events until our second day at the hotel. There is even a cinema,
