“Conveniently located, clean, welcoming unit”

“We had a glitch with the lock but the owner was quick to respond to my phone call to give us the combo for the manual key, which I appreciated very much. The second bed was very small, the removable shower head line was leaking badly. The stove top and oven were dirty and the fan was also dirty. There was no complimentary coffee. ”

“This place is a great - hosts are amazing people. They are intelligent, passionate, flexible, and friendly. Sunsrise view is great. Incredibly safe environment. You really feel like you have a degree of quiet separation from the bustle of Hilo that is only a short drive away. So best of both worlds. The tradeoff is that the village access does require a short drive on unpaved roads. So prepare mentally that this is a slightly more secluded location. You get a simple but thoughtfully……

“Very clean and updated room that fit our family of five comfortably. The host provided great communication throughout our stay, which made everything easy and stress-free. The shower pressure was a bit low, and the property itself looked a little sketchy at first glance, but don't let that deter you. “We enjoyed our stay at this clean, thoughtfully decorated, and conveniently located residence. It was somewhat difficult to find the first time due to all the cars parked on the road, making the driveway hard to find. However, once we found it, we were easily able to find our parking spot and get into the home thanks to the directions sent from Simone. The home is very cozy and we enjoyed our stay. We were thankful for the earplugs as the frogs are quite loud at night.”

“I loved staying at Maggie’s studio in Hilo. It was really clean and spacious. There were plenty of parking and I like the usage of having a kitchen and the convenience of a washer and dryer. I would come back and stay here again the next time I’m back at the big island. ”

“Great location! Easy walk to restaurants and the farmer's market. The furniture and beds were very comfortable. Everything a person would need was in the house. There was always an open space right in front of the house to park our car. Overall, a great stay and would highly recommend.”

“The complex where this unit is located is in need of some extreme TLC. Once inside the unit, the unit is just ok. It was comfortable for sleeping and the shower had good water pressure. The kitchen pans are in really poor condition. The pictures make it look nicer than I felt it was. We knew it was a studio but the kitchen had no space whatsoever. There were no chairs at the pool and it was not an inviting space at all. The unit will be fine for some, but for me, it was not worth the cost……

“Pros: Property was clean and smelled good as soon as you walk in. Big property, nice parking, quiet area, good location near major attractions. Cons: No sink in the kitchen. Especially annoyed that they ask for you to clean all the dishes before you leave. I don’t know what they’re thinking. Bathrooms are on the smaller side, and each bathroom has the smallest sink you’ll ever see, which would not have been a major problem if they did not ask you to clean the dishes in them.
