And the rooms are clean with no weird smells or moldy corners. As I said, I've tried many of the other budget-friendly options in JC, but I always come back to Red Roof……

“I picked this hotel specifically wanting to use the pool it said nothing about it being closed for maintenance when I booked my reservation. This should have been flagged somehow that was the main reason I chose this hotel and the pool was closed. I was very disappointed.”

My room was on the second floor, and all rooms have laminate flooring, and whoever was above me was walking across their room in hard-soled shoes back and forth starting very early in the morning. It was very noisy! When I went down to check out their breakfast, it was a joke! All there was available was some yogurt in a minifridge, and this was at 8:15am. Nothing else available! To say in their description that they offer breakfast is a huge……

“Great location, comfortable beds, clean throughout. But the best part was the breakfast! It was the best breakfast we have ever had at a hotel with the friendliest, most attentive staff. The breakfast included everything to make a delicious sandwich - eggs, cheese, sausage, spicy fried chichen breast, various breads and sauces- and whole wheat waffles and french toast!”

“Warning! Do not stay here. We checked in on a Friday and had to quick change and go to an event we came into town for. When we walked in the room there was an overwhelming heavy smell of cleaner. Thought maybe it was just because they cleaned the room. Nope, we came back 3 hours later and the room still had the smell. It was making me cough, it was so strong. Went to take a shower before getting into bed, looked up at the ceiling while shampooing my hair and the whole ceiling had black mold, all……
