「The host cancelled last minute. I sent a message via VRBO app 14 hours before just to touch base with him. He didn’t respond. When I called him to let him know we would be getting in late, he told me the house is not functional. He was apologetic. But left us high and dry. We searched all the hotels in Reykjavík and all were full due to the pride parade happening. I tried calling him back to help settle this with VRBO and he ghosted me. I’m sure he’s a nice guy. But sleeping at the airport...

「Booking, check in, and check out were all very easy! Great response times from the host concerning questions prior to the stay, as well as during our stay - to include Christmas Eve! Nice location as the apartment was close enough to downtown amenities for us to walk. Three grocery stores located within walking distance, or a short 2 minute drive. 「Family and I spend our first time in Iceland at this rental for nearly two weeks and it was wonderful. We gladly accepted the hosts’ offer to decorate with a tree and lights, it felt warm and welcoming throughout the holiday and new years. Would choose to stay here again.
