"This is a lovely cottage in a quiet neighborhood and tiny village. We stayed for three nights and enjoyed the house. The kitchen is well appointed, although we only used it for light breakfasts. We had fabulous weather, so we were able to enjoy the outside deck and sea air. There isn’t much to do in the village (but do visit the cute wool boutique with nice items a short walk from the house!). There’s a highly rated restaurant in the village, but we didn’t try it. "This location was everything we wanted. The view is beautiful. We were able to access the city and be separate. The property had parking and lights that could be turned off and on a timer (which was cool) and we even ended up finding that there were sheep on the property! Thanks for letting us stay!"

"This was our first trip to Iceland. This house was the perfect place to stay, as we had a rental car (all cars are stick shift btw so be prepared!) . There was plenty of space, wonderful appliances to use if we needed them, pleasant geothermal heating and heated water, a lovely deck and a hot tub, and walking trails nearby. The property manager gave us some very helpful tips, especially about finding local swimming/hot pot/sauna options. Very comfortable. Highly recommended!"

"The Lake House was beautiful and clean. It was a great spot to start all our adventures traversing the South side of Iceland. We arrived later in the day and had a bit of an embarrassing mix-up with our directions. However, Renate was very nice about us driving into the horse training area, sorry again for that. She was also very responsive to all our needs and our stay was just wonderful. We did not see the Northern Lights, but that may just mean we have to go back. Next time during a month...

"This wonderful home has it all. It is centrally located to all the wonderful attractions in the South Coast. Very spacious, but warm and inviting. The gourmet kitchen was well equipped. The hot tub was very relaxing after a day of hiking. We were able to see a wonderful Northern Lights display with the wide open land around us. "We stayed here six nights while exploring Iceland in March. It was just the four of us, so we could have gone with a smaller place, but this house was just perfect for us. We loved the cozy living room in the evenings and the kitchen had everything we needed to have breakfast and a few dinners at home. The beds were comfortable and we LOVED that the floors were so warm. We made use of the hot tub most evenings. Thor was great to communicate with and the perfect host. Would love to come back...
