The service was friendly and responsive, and you can really feel the care they put into making guests comfortable. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it. "

"I would highly recommend the Alda Hotel. It is clean, quiet and located near the important areas. It's a very short walk to the bus stops that take you on the various excursions. It's also next to the public bus which is easy to use. It's on the main shopping street accessible to many different (and excellent) restaurants. The rooms are immaculate. The restaurant is great for breakfast. I stayed with my family and it was the perfect spot."

"Hotel is in a great location with many shops and restaurants right outside the door. Very clean and comfy room. Breakfast was basic but a good deal if you get it included. Not sure it’s worth the full price but many things are very expensive in Reykjavík. Do not miss the incredible cinnamon rolls at the Braud & Co. bakery three blocks away. The hotel staff were great. Will definitely stay here again whenever we are in Reykjavik."

"It was a multi-room hostel so expectations should be managed. Rooms were clean with lockers inside for your valuables. Great vibe in the place. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a few floors above the hostel entrance so constant chatter into the night was not ideal for early morning departure. That said, was an excellent hostel that I can easily recommend."

"The hotel was nice and clean and the location was great. Perfect location if you have whale watching tour booked. Nice restaurants located closed by. The bagels in the restaurant on the bottom floor was great! My only complaint is the loud noise from the room doors closing, that woke me up several times unfortunately."

"The hotel location was excellent, with easy access to bus routes and hop on hop off busses. There is a restaurant in the building if you wish to use it. There is a grocery store next door which was very useful. great street to be on with nice stores. We booked a glass house view room which is in the rear of the hotel and they put us in a patio room which is on the basement level rear. I believe this was an error which I was not able to correct."
