「Robert greeted us at the door and was friendly. The room we were shown to was perfect, bed was comfortable and amenities clean and tidy. The location of Kirkgate House was great, in the middle of the town with bars and restaurants within a couple minutes walk. Would recommend and if we visit Knaresborough again, definitely would stay.」

「lovely staff BUT room is very tiny, water is set off at a temperature which is NOT hot (warm but not hot) and breakfast has pretty much no vegetarian options so a bit disappointing 」

「Very comfy big bed, shower and taps took ages to get hot, but eventually did. Lots of tea and coffee options in room together with a fridge with wine and snacks if required. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly. Bit strange going in and out at back of the building, but happy to recommend as somewhere central to stay.」

「I've stayed at The Crown a few times...and many will say its outdated...needs a lick of paint...not me...its quite a charming hotel with character and squeaky floorboards...dont ever change...plus the location is fantastic...」

「Lovely large room with a huge bed. Very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom also very spacious and has underfloor heating! Huge mirror with lightning and a radio. Our room also had a sink/kitchen area which was useful. The staff were helpful and friendly and we would not hesitate to stay again. Its very close to town centre and also has paid parking which is very convenient. 」
