“Rooms here are great, each one is quirky in their own way, and a lovely touch to have radio playing in room as background music on arrival. The 2 ladies that greeted us on arrival were welcoming and showed us all (4 guests) to our rooms. Evening meal in the bar was great too, cold and frosty outside, the pub reminded me as something out of The Holiday!!!”

“The menu for breakfast was very good the staff on entry to exit were helpful and polite. Room was clean but a little dark as the building is covered in scaffolding.”

“Clean and friendly hitel”

“Ideally placed in the centre of Knaresborough, we were welcomed warmly. The room was lovely with a generous bathroom attached. Plenty of teabags, coffee and hot chocolate sachets and fresh milk was kept in a small fridge. The chocolate was a nice touch alongside the complementary biscuits. It was very quiet and the breakfast was delicious. We will certainly visit again. ”

“Excellent stay in one of the large rooms. Very convenient to be able to walk into Harrogate. Parking very easy and cheap right next door to the hotel. Would definitely stay again. ”

“Host was very responsive at the time off booking and sent clear, helpful instructions on access and what was around the local area, well presented, clean and tidy great location with supermarket, bars and plenty of places to eat, the location is lovely and had everything you would need, No noise issues, Comfortable bed and well-equipped kitchen. If I am in the area I shall book again if it's available. Many thanks for a great stay, would highly recommend, thanks again.”

“For the price and location, highly recommended. A bit dated, but it’s a traditional, old building. What makes this hotel, is the warm, friendly staff. Only criticism, maybe clean up the side of the hotel, leading to the rear car park a bit. It’s a bit dingy, floor is slippery and cigarette butts all over. Small change to make it more appealing.”

“The staff were courteous on arrival and gave us a tour of the beautiful building before showing us to our room. The house and surrounding environment were superb. The room was comfortable and clean albeit a little too warm at night. Our breakfast was tasty and varied served by a very polite young lady. We enjoyed our brief stay very much and would recommend it to others. ”

“Very comfy big bed, shower and taps took ages to get hot, but eventually did. Lots of tea and coffee options in room together with a fridge with wine and snacks if required. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly. Bit strange going in and out at back of the building, but happy to recommend as somewhere central to stay.”
