it’s one of those properties that were clearly amazing 10/15 years ago, it’s got the sort of feel of what wants to be a W hotel but just isn’t quite in the right places for that magic. but alas the experience just isn’t great for it could be it starts from the nickel and diming approach in incremental fees, much like an airline. But that’s kind of okay for the Premier Inn not so good when you’re claiming to be a four star hotel. Service is so so. It’s okay, but at the price point it seems to charge most days, you’re expecting much better experience. Particularly irritant was parking. The hotel has parking, but it is in the middle of nowhere and there is a literal free car park next door to it but it still insists on charging for car parking. Or if you need to stay half an hour later , they will charge you £20. All legitimate fees and absolutely they are entitled to do so and it’s their business model however a four star luxury hotel, certainly they dis incentivise me spending any money on anything extra. I’d like to do like a spa trip or a nice meal.
