「We had a great stay in New Castle. The house is located right of the main road but, it still felt private and secluded. The amenities outside really made this location. Great areas to relax and enjoy nature. There is an adorable coffee shop in town that serves breakfast and lunch. Roanoke is a 40 minute drive from town. I traveled with my elderly father so, we did not hike any of Jefferson National Forests. We are hoping to travel back in when it’s warmer to the joy the property and area more. 」

「The Jackson River Estate was the perfect getaway for our 2025 Family Reunion. The estate is very spacious and provides magnificent views. There is river access but the water is cold. The pool and slide were a big hit! Cole’s Point (beach), the humpback bridge and waterfall were super close and great excursions. This location is great for families that like to be outdoors…hiking, fishing, kayaking…Check-in/out was super easy. Although we heard there might have been a bear, there was no sighting....
