“From the pictures on the site, it indicated that toileries would be provided. But there was none to be seen. Initially had problems getting into my room, because the no. received was incorrect. Contacted the Office and this was corrected immediately. The no.19a bus goes to the 'Shirley' area, just ask the driver to put you off at the Howard Road bus stop. Take the 1st left and you are on Howard Road and the Guest House is on the right. The full address of your premises needs to include……
“My wife and I had had a lovely weekend away together and stayed at the Orange Grove Hotel & Gardens, where we were made to feel very welcome. The staff very very helpful and provided a very friendly speedy service.”
“The comfiest hotel bed I have slept on in a long while, spacious room (perfect for an overnight stay after a late night party), bathroom was spacious enough and had all the basic essentials needed. Would deffo stay again!”
“Lovely stay. The host was very welcoming and friendly. Plenty of parking and very easy to check in (just send a message on here or contact the property directly to advise of your arrival time.) The breakfast was really great and there is lots of options for all diets. Room was spacious and clean, bed was really comfortable. There is also a fridge under the stairs for guests to use which is very thoughtful. Plenty of parking right outside. There’s a few restaurants and a supermarket a short walk……
“The property was pretty central, walking distance to eateries and shops, good parking. Stuart was very welcoming and helpful, breakfast was your choice, plentiful, freshly cooked and my room was spotless, cosy bed and hot shower. I liked it a lot.”
“Gorgeous room and lovely decor overall although a few things were broken opun arrival e.g. One of the blinds pull strings was snapped and one of the plant pots was crackes.
The staff were very courteous and helpful.
I would rate higher but the rooom did not come with any bath products or a hair dryer, and the tea and coffee was kept in the hallway between the rooms rather than having a selection in the room.
Will definitely stay again if this is fixed. ”
“Better than staying at cookie cutter run of the mill hotel or motel. Feel the charm of British culter and hospitality. Well worth forgoing some amenities just for the experience. ”
“The room is on the 2nd floor , it is too small for a family, no table , no teeth brush , no hairdryer and shower gel provided . The stairs are too steep, quite dangerous if you have baby with you.
My friend lived on 1 st floor , there is no bathroom inside the room, shared bathroom is outside, they didn’t realize that when they booked the room. ”
"The location is not good, far away from the city center. The room is not very clean. The staff will not let you feel welcome. The car park is not on site the hotel, need to walk to the public car parking , walk 5-7 mins. I will not stay at this hotel again. "
