"Taj was doing construction and didn’t notify us until a week before our booking, leaving us with little option. The entire lobby was in construction. Dust everywhere near by. We couldn’t have friends meet us there and it wasn’t the experience we paid for. The managers evaded us the whole time regardless of numerous attempts to contact them. Not the level of service you’d expect from The Taj. I will say they eventually, after a lot of pursuit, gave us 10% off. Not worth the hassle. However, the staff was very nice and empathetic. Management was disappointing to say the least. I would not recommend this hotel bc you don’t know what you’ll get and they are not accommodating. "

"I stayed here for several nights while exploring London and taking day trips to Cambridge and Windsor as part of an Expedia package that included my flight at a reasonable price. The concierge staff were efficient and friendly, and housekeeping serviced the room each day. One thing I noticed was that the window was left open each evening when I returned to the room, which I didn't realize until I heard some outside noise. The room was clean and fairly spacious. There were plenty of USB-A outlets available for charging devices, both at the work desk and beside the bed. The bed was mostly comfortable, though I still had a bit of trouble adjusting to the time difference. The TV had several channels but no streaming options. The bathroom is located right by the entrance, so if someone is using it while another person needs to leave the room, it may feel a bit awkward. A safe was available in the closet next to the sink. Temperature control was easy to adjust, and the room included all the basic amenities. A small refrigerator kept drinks cool. Breakfast on the first floor was included and offered plenty of options, so it was easy to start the morning well. The dining hall can become crowded later in the morning, but seating was generally available. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a quiet and convenient place to stay."

"Loved this place. So close to everything I literally didn’t even take the tube. Room was great, not too small. I even had to stay an extra night which they helped me do that smoothly."

"This hotel feels extremely outdated. Every time I used the elevator I was honestly worried it might get stuck, which is not a great feeling when you're staying somewhere. The room also had basic functionality issues. There was no proper way to adjust the water temperature in the shower, and the curtains did not block the light well, so it was difficult to properly darken the room at night. Another downside was the gym. It is tiny and only opens during limited hours that are quite inconvenient and not really suitable for guests who want flexibility with their schedule. Overall, the hotel feels old and poorly maintained, and the facilities do not match what you would expect from a comfortable stay."
