“Need a microwave”

“My two daughters and I normally stay in 5 star hotels when vacationing. This trip was a last minute getaway to Wisconsin Dells. I looked at different hotels in the area, but most of them were booked and/or slightly higher in cost for the dates we needed. Then I started looking at motels. There were many to choose from, but again we normally don't stay at motels. So, I am looking at all the reviews and one particular motel kept coming up with 4.8 to 5 star reviews. It was the Black Hawk Motel.……

“The staff was amazing! Kind, friendly and very helpful at every turn. The facility was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. "Water park" was lacking. Only 1 small area for older kids to play in the water and no big slides. The slides they did have were fun for maybe upto a small 8 year old. We loved the theme of the place though, very fun and incredible details. I'd go back with adults, cause there were a variety of hot tubs, 2 with indoor/outdoor options. “Jetted tub in the room was nice and worked great. Very convenient location to downtown Wisconsin Dells. Property could use some updates and maintenance. Breakfast had a few decent options like cereal, eggs, sausage, hash browns no bacon though😔. Overall was a decent stay.”

“Pool across the street was small, but nice and quiet. Bathrooms in the rooms are ridiculously small! Basically enough room to stand in them (the sink is outside the bathroom). Soap and shampoo dispensers were both empty. Waited 1 hour and 15 minutes for breakfast first morning. Second morning we knew to not even bother to try to get any. Getting coffee and Starbucks inside restaurant was also impossible on Saturday morning as workers were there and acknowledged us, but never came to wait……

“We stayed here for 2 nights after walking out of the Super 8 by Wyndham (whole other review...but stay away). We were in one of the rooms in the hotel, not a treehouse, after finding out there was no bathroom or shower in the treehouses. They did have bath houses available but we weren't looking for the "camping" experience so we grabbed a room. Nothing fancy, but adequate for my wife and I and eleven year old grandson. Perfect as a base for everything the Dells has to offer. Friendly staff. And……

“We enjoyed our stay so much!!! Free noahs ark tickets each day is an amazing amenity! The motels indoor and outdoor pool and hot tub we so clean, great size. My.kids loved the shamrock shaped pool the best. Vending, ice machine, and grills were awesome We all had a great time!”

“The resort is dirty. There was a strange smell in the room. The air conditioner was very noisy. The room is different from the photos. When the door was opened, many flies flew into the room. Flying around, we couldn't sleep at night. The service of the resort staff is very good. Ask the staff if you can reduce the one-night stay and refund the money. At that time, it was ok. After the trip, I called the resort to ask how to refund the money. The staff said that the money was not refunded. This……

“Room wasnt cleaned. Hair in the tub and yuck in the corner. The attendent was busy on the phone and ignored us til i got upset. The pool wasnt working. I called and asked and they said it was, def was NOT. The breakfast was over cooked and unbearable to eat.”
