"Everything was good"

"I wanted to give this a better rating. I had booked 2 rooms for the first 2 nights of our stay-1 room sleeps 6, the other sleeps 4-and continued the stay another 2 nights in the room for 4 occupants. The good: The room was clean with no signs of bedbugs or anything. It was quiet and relaxing. The springs were great and the boat tour was interesting. They have great ice cream & a bar. We enjoyed playing chess at one of their large table sets. The bad: The main issue was with bath towels. There were only 3 towels in the room for 6 people and only 2 in the room for 4. We were told there were no towels left when we asked for more. I am puzzled how you can have a room that should sleep a specific amount of occupants without having enough towels to accommodate everyone. I can understand not having that many towels in the room at the beginning of a stay, but there should have been enough readily available for each person should they be maxing out the room capacity. This was a recurring theme each night. The first night, the woman at the desk gave us the last few clean towels they had. The 3rd night, the man at the desk told us he’d bring us towels in “20 minutes” but he never came. The following morning we put the “please service” sign on our door and then spent the entire day at a beach. When we returned around 4:30pm, the room was still not serviced. Then we were told-again-by the desk staff that there were no towels! Unbelievable! We did eventually get them, but it was an ordeal."

"I never stayed there. With the special that was going on, the price was around $45 which was great until I got there and realized that there was a $150 deposit required, which I could not do. So a U.S. Veteran right before memorial day weekend got to spend the night in his car instead. Happy memorial day weekend to me. On top of that, the person at the front desk told me specifically that it was cancelled and the money would be back in my account that night because he said it hadn't been processed yet. Well that was a lie because I still don't have the money back from it and neither the holet nor hotels.com will answer my calls or emails, so once again happy memorial day weekend to a United States Army Veteran. I know it's not a lot of money, but a little goes a long way for a lot of people these days. God bless America"

"The property was exactly how it was described. The neighborhood was quiet and the host thought of little things that made the stay pleasant and comfortable. My only feedback is that the bed in 2nd bedroom was a little too soft but we truly appreciated the quiet floors, board games, books to read and the opportunity to purchase drinks in the house. Thank you and we will definitely try to stay here again on our next trip to Tallahassee. "

"We booked this stay over 2 months ago. The host did not send me check-in instructions (door code, etc) until I threatened to call customer service if I hadn't heard from him by noon of check-in day. Once we arrived, we noticed an overgrown yard as we pulled in. There were no instructions on how to turrn on AC or heat. Daytime was warm but night time was much cooler. Immediately noticed that there were only 2 dirty, stained bath towels in the bathroom. One washcloth hanging in kitchen and no dish towel. Also noted, no paper towels in kitchen or hand soap in the bathroom. As the night got cooler, we found there was no extra blanket and the bed only had a thin quilt in addition to the sheets. The entry door was a bear to close. We literally had to slam it to get it to latch properly. The floor next to the bed on side away from door had water damage and the floor was soft & spongy. It would be a safety issue as well as a health issue due to mold & mildew.The tv would not turn on. We assumed it was due to dead batteries but were told by host that he didn't have any to replace them. He did not address any of the concerns I told him of at that time. He also took several hours to respond to messages.On the positive, the bed was comfortable. The water pressure was good and water got hot quickly but we were unable to take showers due to the questions about the cleanliness of the towels. Would not stay here again unless the host does some serious work on the entire experience. "
