Omiya Ryokan is easily accessible by car. There is parking not too far from the Ryokan itself. Staff service was excellent; they were accommodating even though we didn’t speak a word of Japanese (thank god for Google Translate). The food was a delight. Room was spacious and very clean. The onsen was small, but was really well kept. 10/10.
Amazing! Great traditional food. Lovely helpfull s
This place was absolutely amazing. Staff was exceptional.Hotel was very clean and accommodating. They give you so much food. Dinner comes with probably 20 different pieces of food that is traditional. I ate food that i still don’t know what it was but it was prepared and displayed beautifully. Onsen was small but clean and great after a day of skiing. Would definitely come back.
Good except no private bathroom, only in pubic onsen

This is a larger complex but it felt like a cozy ryokan throughout, especially in the rather large Japanese style room that I had. Staff speak little English but were friendly enough to work around my poor Japanese.
Loved our stay at Omiya. Great location and great experience for a first timer at a Ryokan. Docked a star because instructions for using facilities were slightly confusing and beds gave both my partner and I back problems. They were accommodating to tattoos (using tape or just going when no one else was around) which was a pleasant surprise. Would stay again!
This a great place to stay if you are looking for a typical Japanese hotel with a hot spring in the hotel and within walking distance of the Zao ski area. The hotel is clean and comfortable. They have a nice lounge area to relax after skiing. We had 1/2 board that included a typical Japanese breakfast and dinner - both expertly served and outstanding. Highly recommended hotel!!!
The service is extremely bad. The staff is not nice. we booked a shuttle to pick up at 4:40, the staff wrong booked 3:30 and we waited 30 mins under the snow and had to walk back under the snow.
