“On the surface it would appear rustic, but that is not the case. The comforts included with this Tipi are wonderful. This is glamping at its best with the full kitchen and beautiful bathroom. It was wonderful to sit out and enjoy the dark night sky. Gary and Rachel provided pellets for the wood stove which was necessary for the chilly nights. Gary also responded to any question I had within minutes. Great trip!”

“We spent Easter weekend at Jeff’s property which is easy to find. Close to the city park and walking trails. The kitchen nicely stocked as we hosted our son snd family for Easter dinner. Would absolutely stay here again.”

“Cute little suite. Full kitchen. One small snag, the front door was deadbolt locked when we arrived (unable to enter via keyless entry) and the owners had to come let us in. Response was prompt, they were there in 10 minutes. The place served our needs. No livingroom area but when its just where you're sleeping between adventures, that works out fine.”

The place is conveniently located in downtown Cortez, close to City Market (grocery store) and all the parks and restaurants in town. The unit looks brand new! “We stayed for six days, on the event of the Annular Eclipse on Oct 14. The property was perfectly located for our trips to Shiprock and Mesa Verde NP. The beds are terrific. The kitchen fully stocked, the entertainment just right. Our hosts were friendly and responsive. We would definitely stay here again.”

“This was our 2nd stay and we enjoyed ourselves tremendously. No pretentions, just what we expected for a cottage on the reservoir in the country. We had everything we needed to make lovely meals. The cottage is close to several hiking areas and ruins. Super host and hostess that are available when needed.”

“This property was located perfectly for day excursions to Mesa Verde and Durango. We enjoyed the hot tub and game room. Very comfortable furnishings. My only suggestion would be to install screens on the windows and doors. We couldn’t open them at certain times of day due to the bugs.”

“This is a property next to a home, but it’s away from the home. I personally liked the physical location. The apartment-it’s like an apartment attached to a garage-was outside of Cortez and looked out into a ravine. The hostess was very helpful and responsive. A great experience overall.”

“Property was very close to Delores with a remote wilderness feel. Saw lots of deer and horses. Only about 20 min. to Mesa Verde National Park. The only drawback was the sulfur smell from the hot water. We had a great stay.”

“This was a more than above average motel that was convenient to Mesa Verde. The property and room renovation is well done. The space felt clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast seemed fresher with a few extra touches than the typical, such as the bagel assortment and bananas, which always seem run out early elsewhere. Overall I’d stay here before a chain hotel. We were on a timeline but would have enjoyed more time to explore the sites in the area. ”
