We absoloutely loved our time at the cottage.

We absoloutely loved our time at the cottage. Extremely peaceful, well kept and so much better than expected. The area is stunning too. Really comfortable bed. The cottage is warm and well managed. We hadn't realised that there wasn't any wifi on the property and its worth noting that there is also very limited phone signal (none for me and my partner could pick up some in the farm yard) Overall better than expected. We won't hesitate to go back and explore further

Very enjoyable stay in a lovely farm based cottage, in a beautiful location and which had just benefited from a bathroom modernisation. Friendly, welcoming and helpful owners. Excellent value. Wider variety of kitchen utensils, for preparing food would be helpful. Would certainly recommend the cottage overall. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Comfortable and spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful owners. If you want the height of luxury this is not for you, but if you want peace and quiet in a beautiful setting with everything you need at a very reasonable cost we can highly recommend this cottage.

The cottage is lovely.

The cottage is lovely. It's very quiet, being set in a rural area, but had almost everything we needed, in the way of equipment. The only thing we found the kitchen lacked was a sieve for straining rice. There are even storage containers for leftovers, or picnics. The lounge was large and comfortable, with a large screen TV, but there is no phone signal or WiFi within the property. This was not a problem for us, as we were happy to take a break from the rest of the world! The bedroom was also quite spacious, with plenty of storage space and the bed was really comfortable, with a foam topped mattress. No problem with noisy bedsprings as some people have previously mentioned. The outside of the property is pretty and well maintained and is set within the farm. A few animals can be seen from the windows. The owner and their family, are very friendly and helpful too. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Walter and Sally were just great.

Walter and Sally were just great. Made us feel completely at home. The cottage is in a fabulous setting, surrounded by some of the best countryside that northern England has to offer and we couldn't have been happier!

The actual accommodation is better than most but it requires some tlc. When we arrived the fire did not work, the fridge milk shelf was broken, the toilet seat was also broken. The bed was very comfortable. It has to be pointed out that the cottage is in the farm yard, there is a farm dog a couple of metres away. It has to be said that Alfie is lovely, well trained and very quiet. What we missed most was a mobile and Wi-fi signal, it is a poor reception area and the local towns are the best places for mobile phone reception.
