“The place to stay in Merida!The location was great; everything in the historic district was within walking distance. There was a coffee shop/bakery literally next door for breakfast or lunch. Ubers were plentiful, with most rides arriving within five minutes.The house was unique in our experience. It was beautiful, spacious, and very clean (no bugs!). The pool area and garden was open to the sky, flowing seamlessly into the living area and kitchen. The bedrooms were quiet and comfortable.……

“Things that were disappointing and Americans may appreciate knowing before booking: - directions wrong on VRBO app-Bars, padlocks on doors and windows (made sense later but wish we knew before or at arrival because it felt scary the first night)-holes in screens letting bugs and ants in and sliding door had to close because hole was big enough for small animals at night- 100’s of tiny bugs inside, bought spray and killed- no water pressure in shower, took a long time to heat up-loud water pump……

“We really loved our stay. We got a free upgrade to a room with sea view and even though the other room would have been fine as well, this was the perfect start to our holiday. The hotel is really beautifully decorated and there's a lot of attention to detail. We also really enjoyed the food in the restaurant. All in all a perfect stay.”

“The house and artwork were beautiful.The bedrooms were very spacious and comfortable. We were two families and the kids really enjoyed the pool. The pool no longer has a fence around it and many of the rooms have been upgraded since the photos in this listing. There are no longer bunkbeds which was a disappointment for the kids. If you want to go on beach walks or runs, beware of stray dogs. We hired cooks which was amazing, but the cookware in the house was in really bad shape and had Teflon……
