"We had a very time at this hotel. We had the Elite package, booked through Expedia and was not sure what to expect. Well our expectations were above and beyond what we thought. So this review is based on that. We had no balcony in our room so moved to a room with a balcony with no problem. So nice overlooking the Marina and watching the catch each day coming in. The food from the menus was exceptional, and being able to go to all El Cid resorts and order anything (included with Elite), also get top end alcohol and use of services at all 4 resorts made our 2 week stay anything but boring. We enjoyed both pool areas and we also loved the beach. All the staff at the hotel and the restaurants were very nice and attentive, including the ones at the beach area. No one bothered us for timeshare which was nice. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing peaceful holiday, and would recommend the elite package, as I think it would be a lot different without it (the food on the menu was not cheap if you had to pay). The bed were comfy and lots of pillow options (they have a pillow menu) and the room was cleaned well. The room we had are traditional Mexican style which is fine for us and came with a full fridge and kitchen. We met lots of people who had time shares and come back every year. So a great holiday, I would come back if i was booking the Elite package, it is well worth it. Thank you El Cid Marina Beach Hotel!!"

"With the elite package, food was amazing and plentiful. Easy to book Al a carte restaurants. Had some issues with one of the housekeepers, but it was rectified with one phone call. The other housekeeper was amazing. Resort is a bit rundown but clean. "
