Room is dated however in general clean. We had to change rooms twice due to the cigarette smell in some of the room. Staff was very helpful and tried to fulfill request at their best. Hotel had so much potential with a facility upgrade eg furniture absorbing cigarette smells and water pipes with better water pressure in the shower. The water pressure in the bathroom sink had better pressure than the shower head. Great shuttle bus service and bus stop to tsuen wan is right opposite hotel. Close to airport. Wouldn’t fault for this price but this place has so much more potential than it currently presents

The internet was adequately fast, the staff was very helpful, the location perfect - and the bedsheets were wonderful. The one silly personal complain we had would be the quality of the coffee provided in the room. Do not expect it to be good. Instead, go down to reception and ask to use the espresso machine. And while you are sipping the espresso - or if you cannot sleep - checkout the amazing design books available to browse at the reception area. We skipped breakfast, totally forgot that was an option -and anyway, exciting food options await as soon as you walk out the front door.

The location is a bit out of the way and far from MTR

Room temperature 19 degrees too cool, may be 20-21 better.

to note - pool is seasonal. hotel very clean. area great.

Loved staying at the Alva will definitely be coming back again this year

Hotel is getting very dated. Guests' luggage were all over the check-in lobby. Front desk staffs were very efficient and helpful. Room is clean but furnishings are just too out-dated. There was no power outlet next to the bed so I had to ask for a power strip from hose keeping. They delivered the item to the room within ten minutes.

The view looks different from the pictures shown online. The windows run parallel to the harbor, so you don't get a direct, front-facing harbor view.

I came to stay myself. Check in and check out process is seamless. Great space in my room. Wish it was closer to mtr exit though.
